On the last TT I mentioned about the idea I have to put on heat sink on the COP. I got this idea after I saw the coils on Supra from AC Delco. They have a heat sink on top of the coil to help it dissipate heat. I've ordered some heat sink so waiting to get the suitable heat conductive adhesive.

Coil On Plug fail can happen to any car as long they have COP....heat or the coil winding inside fail... then it will cause missfire.

Install coil mat on the coil on plug?

btw want to ask, i was thinking of start service on outside bengkel. can guide me on how to do CVT service? i mean the type of oil, how much, expected cost, etc. last time at 40k i do at SC. for 80k want to do outside.
my car is flx se.

I did able to clean off the carbon effectively, the throttle body was just so dirty before cleaned. I just suspect the TB cleaner clean off the carbon on the sensor causing it to detect too much airflow with the same learnt value before cleaned. I use OBD2 to check, the throttle position is still the same, but the fuel flow is increase, it means it compensate too much fuel for idle. I check the fault code as well, 'system too rich' P0172 error recorded after cleaned.

I once cleaned 70k before, that time performed by workshop, same thing happen too, the workshop just plug in the computer and let the idle throttle to relearn. Online search alot of same cases happen to other brand of car too.

mine no need to reset wor... after clean vroom vroom for few minutes back to normal liao...
