My Michelin XM2 share the equal bad. Noise started since 10k, until now almost 50k usage, front still got 40% left, rear 60%, but the noise is unbearable now. I don think i will wait all the thread gone only change, i might change it after 10k more.

The morale of story, never ever buy a tyre that can last you so long, a tyre that can last for 35-40k is more than enuf, becos by the time it make noise, the thread is gone and is time to change, rather than feel sayang becos the thread still alot.

The noise you said is low frequency roar, worst when ride on those loose tarmac, mainly contributed by harden tyre compound, this happen to ALL tyre. When new, you can easily peel the edge of the thread block by your finger nail, and this is the period that you can feel max comfort (lesser noise) out of it. After few K, press by your finger, u will notice the compound harden quickly, some harden just after few K, some are longer, here the noise come again.

Not to say our Gaga suspension respond so well to those vibration from the tyre and almost transmit 100% to the chassis, it just like the absorber and spring is direct coupled to the chassis without any dampening in between. Recently i often ride my colleague FLX during lunch time, the god damn road roar of the virgin car that without doing any aftermarket dampening really can kill my ear.
