Yeah. Agree with you.

Depending on your workplaces, there is no point to buy a house in Rawang if you work in PJ or KL. Gonna be in jam packed every morning and evening.  sweat.gif

It is very subjective in fact, depends on opportunity and also individual. In my company (kepong), i've plenty of colleague stay at Kajang, Kota kemuning; but they wiling to travel all the way. Some individual looking at convenience and some looking at opportunity; and also some looking at the environment or some just wanted a landed house instead.

Even now we purchase at house next to where we work now, example PJ; there is no way to guarantee the company wont decided to move or we change job. There are people commenting renting a house/ apartment is always the best options; so we wont stuck in the location. we can change as and when we change a job, or find something in between both for husband and wife...

buying a house for ownstay is more personal. Not only distance to workplace, but also your partners daily routine, kids routine (if any), and your family social circle and routine. ITS NOT JUST TAPE MEASURE HOW CLOSE IS YOUR NEW HOME TO WORK.

renting is not always the best. you are at the mercy of your landlord. You never know which day you back from your tired day from work only to find out you have 2 months to vacant the unit.

I was just disagree that a forumer earlier claimed that 'most' rawang ppl dun work in kl. I seriously don't know how he defined 'most'. maybe he got the door to door statistics to suggest such notion.

rawang was the 1st satellite township created for workers in KUL and the 1st township that have electricity outside KUL.

This is exactly what i meant. Location of the workplace vs home, is not something that we can measure. I used to work at Yap Kwan Seng near KLCC; after than Jalan Metro Pudu and now Kepong area. So unless we can be so determined that "i dont choose those job beyond xxkm away from my house" or else, is really hard to predict where is the next opportunities located. My next job could be subang, could be Setia Alam or even could be Rawang...

Personally, i'm looking at 1) Environment, 2) Security, 3) Neighborhood... Of course all those are no way to predict for a new township unless i go for mature township, which mean i will have to go for subsales... Like Desa ParkCity, easily 1.8 - 2.5mil for similar size of the houses and need to come up with upfront 200 - 300K to pay downpayment, MOT, legal, bla bla.. you name it... I choose GG is because is the landed house which is nearest to where i stay now... if i wanted a Condo, i have plenty of options but if landed; not much. comparing all others, the convenience level is high, just next to highway; cons of course need to pay toll.. If i stay at puchong now maybe i would have consider kajang, who knows...

I dont know if i will get bombarded by saying this --- i disagree with the toll fee abolish, i think the maintenance of the highway is something we shd look at, yes, yes, i know we have been paying taxes, but thats another issues that we have to dealt with. At this moment, imagine if we abolish the toll, forever we will have to travel on those "hole" along the way for the entire highway intra or inter city/state....

I agree with one of the comment, maybe review the fee --- for me is good enough.

Hi Christal, I am happy to know you are looking for the same factors: environment, security & neighborhood; and we will be neighbors in the near future! All future residents need to do their part to keep the environment (clean & smoke-free in public areas), security (safety) & neighborhood (considerate & be sociable). Only then GG will be a successful township.

Omg

Public area also smoke free...

Might as well set up a smoker prison n lock them all up n throw away the key.

A school is just a building, where are the rich humans in rawang? Enough kids to attend school? How much teacher should be imported to a barren land?

Education is very important to some race. They willing to pay high fees for quality education so that thier child wont end up like mst rempit.

Whether end up as mat rempit got nothing to do w education. Its to do with upbringing.

If parents instil the right value into children, they wont ended up as mat rempit. Not amount of england speaking school or high fee education can change children basis value.
