My cc doesn't wanna appear at all no matter how many times I remove with DDU and reinstall 15.7/15.8. Does RadeonPro works like ccc?

CCC won't open your not installed? This one abit tricky. sweat.gif
Sometime a quick complete driver removal will fix it and sometime a quick repair of .Net4 will fix it too.

Private equity to buy 20 per cent of AMD
Our well informed industry sources have told us that AMD is about to sell 20 percent of its stake to a private equity outfit called Silver Lake.

Fudzilla got this from multiple, independent industry sources that want to remain anonymous. Silver Lake was the outfit which was behind Michael Dell's take over of his company and has piles of cash.

The company advertises itself as a global leader in technology investing and that have invested money in brands like Alibaba, Avago, GoDaddy,Motorola Solutions, Opera Solutions and many others has prepared to bite the significant part of AMD.

This could be AMD's big break as it will get the money that it desperately needs. AMD has been sinking under financial problems as its CPU roadmap is not that great and it is hard for AMD to compete with Nvidia in the mainstream and entry level graphics market.

AMD stock has been trading at $1.88 and with company’s market cap of just 1.418 billion, this 20 percent would not have cost Silver Lake that much. AMD paid 5.4 billion to buy ATI in 2006.

Hopes are high that a super star CPU designer Jim Keller can put AMD roadmap back in order. He and his talented team have been working for a while on a brand new architecture codenamed Zen, but we don’t expect to see Zen for at least couple more quarters. On the graphics side, the company can compete in the higher end market but it doesn’t really had much new to offer in mainstream and entry level.

We also heard that AMD will do another round of restructuring that will be announced shortly. The company apparently has too many mouths to feed with too little an income.

I think AMD should fire its marketing/PR personnel for overhyping and being arrogant at same time.

AMD PR division is promoting unrealistic consumer expectation for the product.
Bulldozer + Kaveri architecture is one.....

Hyping Carizzo is good.....but where is the product? (Paper launch again?)

Fury X and Fury Nano performance as well? doh.gif

Why high profile investor will stay away?

Yes, initially only 7850k and 7770k available for sales after being launched in January 2014 at somewhat expensive price.
The A8-7600 was paper launched in Jan 2014 at good price......only available for sales in around August 2014 at its same Jan 2014 launch price. doh.gif

For the bad news, apparently, AMD keeps the same managerial PR team from bulldozer area. Only some minions from PR was fired during previous restructuring.

No - the prices are somewhat inflated in our region... They are pretty cheap elsewhere. icon_idea.gif

Nah.....nothing short of deja vu.
Last time, there was bitcoin mining craze which caused 290X price to go up.

This time, it is just AMD chip supplier (TSMC or GlobalFoundries, not sure which one produced Fiji gpu die) cant produce sufficient quantity at acceptable yield for cut down Fury and full configuration Fiji.

AMD reorganize, form Radeon Technology Group led by Raja Koduri.

QUOTE
The end result is that after 9 years there is a reluctant admittance within AMD that such a deep fusion of the businesses has not worked out like AMD expected. GPUs are still essential to AMD’s technology plans and the technology fusion is critical to how AMD operates, but how those products are developed and marketed within AMD needs to change. Consequently AMD has decided to take a step back and to reevaluate how they want to organize their graphics business. And the outcome of that evaluation is that the graphics business will once again become whole, with AMD in a sense turning back the clock and keeping graphics as its own unit.

Leading this new group is AMD veteran Raja Koduri. Prior to today Raja was AMD’s Vice President of Visual and Perceptual Computing, and starting today Raja is being promoted to the executive level as the Senior Vice President and Chief Architect of the Radeon Technologies Group, reporting directly to CEO Dr. Lisa Su. As of this writing AMD does not have their new executive organization chart up, but with this reorganization and promotion, Raja is being promoted to the same level as AMD’s other SVPs, and Raja’s group being made a counterpart to AMD’s computing and EESC groups.

The timing is a bit spot on...

Forming of Radeon Technology Group is probably one of main condition set by Silver Lake Partners for the 20% purchase of AMD shares.

Carizzo is laptop only but they could simply put it on desktop with higher clockspeed and higher TDP. There are Carizzo laptops but like almost all AMD laptops they mostly on cheapo low resolution 14 inch screens, perhaps Intel have something to do with this. Whatever it is it's bad for AMD.

Raja is the guy behind Mantle. He was the guy that made ATI famous back days, What nvidia done good in this generation to focus on pure GPU power whereas AMD is stuck with peanut profit like console contract.

Raja is confirm to ditch console contract and will bring back some lost share of AMD by pure focus on GPU power and features.

Yeah, but there's already rumours about splitting up GPU division before so it just a matter of time before it happen.
