On a more serious side...
as a trader...
I do NOT like ASSets.
and the only ass I like is those behind the female gender... tongue.gif

see sometimes assets is just assets...
yeah the assets can be worth heck a lot...
but if it doesn't generate any real returns (like money) I find these assets as useless.... tongue.gif

unless of course...
the assets are belonging to one who is dying to make a will to distribute them... tongue.gif

and then there are SPACS....

comeon...
they are literally paid to buy company....
and with it assets...
and yes sometimes those assets might be worth a few sens more...
but if it doesn't generate any money or if there is no intend to realize the monetary value of the assets...
them assets are useless and dead in my eyes...

but yeah... that's my poison...
I do not expect anyone to agree with me la......

So how do I want to gauge a SPAC like bunga here?
No matter what I WILL look at their earnings track record...

look at their track record...
how long they listed...
what have they really done...
HOW MUCH have they really earn....

(not forgetting while we wait.. these SPAC managers are paid in the millions... doh.gif)

these are the stuff I would consider...

and no... despite me being a trader....

I am one who does not go to a horse track...
and simply bet on any horse....

but that's just me... and me poison la...

Hibiscus is a company that earn USD.

Anasuria is generating 8k barrels per day.

and it is producing brent oil not crude oil.

Problem with crude oil assets.. rclxub.gif

If the price of crude oil slide, they will have to impair all the crude which has not been pumped out (ie 2P, 3P reserves) ...(like Skpet)

If the charter rate slides, they will have to impair all their vessel cost (like what armada) ...

And its all about the lifting costs (the cost to actually pump the oil), if lifting cost is high, they will have negative cashflow

A good well should have lifting cost below $20, even then with the full cost (fixed, interest, depreciation etc) might not make profit at current price of $45.

Brent and WTI gap is closing steadily.

Just my 2 sen for oil stocks.. tongue.gif

Brent IS crude oil.. rolleyes.gif

It is just a different type of crude... which includes, WTI (west texas Intermediate, USA), Brent Oil (North sea), Oman Sour (Middle East), or Tapis crude (SEA)...

Tapis commands the highest margin because it is a sweet light oil, next Brent because of medium sweet oil and last will be WTI and Oman Sour ..

Current Brent to WTI spread is only $1.64 per barrel.. the lowest in 5 years.. nod.gif

Full cost (include transport etc) or lifting cost? If it is full cost, then it is alright. nod.gif

If it is lifting cost.. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

SKPet current lifting cost is $19 ...yet they very thin margin (for oil sales) in their P/L

Waht do you mean producing Brent oil not crude oil?

You know Brent oil is just a global pricing right, WTI is usually for US own domestic use?

Edit: Oops. Just saw the reply this page smile.gif

The end product of the crude oil is just crude oil but of course the pricing goes something like this:

NYMEX/WTI Crude: Benchmarked on USA crude prices
Dubai Crude: Benchmarked on Middle East price (but the price does not almost deviate from WTI)
Brent Crude: Benchmarked on prices of the Northern region of the world. Also the global benchmark for oil
Tocom Crude: Benchmarked on prices of oil in Japan
Tapis Crude: The ones we used, but we still follow Brent.

it's a SPAC and I for one will not trust what they write...

most important...
is the end result that matters.

The question is what have bunga done since listing as a SPAC in 2011?

Their revenue is not even more than 15 million per year. doh.gif

and their trailing twelve months earnings is showing losses more than 70 million.

Hence, as a company, I would not trust what they write in their purchase prospectus...
if they have been failing all these years...
I would expect them to continue to fail..... (yeah, I could be wrong using such an assumption)

and oh...

the goreng side.... LOL!

as correctly stated TC_Titan earlier, there is major placement coming up.

It's there... and we know from reading... laugh.gif

it's a 25% placement...

massive....

hence it's understandable, why some can be seduced and reckon that a goreng play might be ON in the near future....

it's normal...

it's one of the theme that some traders use.....

will it be profitable?
my say?
This is not my cuppa.... wink.gif

just my poison la....
