Good news. Just received msg from my SA, my GL spec free upgrade to leather seats.

For what purpose you need screen protector? The touch screen is fixed to the car. Only your fingers touch it. It's not like a smartphone which is carried about and exposed to all types of risks in daily use.

Had my M3 HS Al metallic for a week now. Here are some of my views and thoughts to share.

1. Powerful engine and smooth transmission (that's why I chose it in the 1st place...very satisfied   

2. For those who were asking earlier, mileage was 36 km when I took delivery of the car. Also, when you take delivery, check the tire pressure, coz they tend to inflate it up rather high. My left front was 310 !!

3. Tyre noise is a bit high.

4. Is there a way to sort of blank the display screen? At night, I feel like the interior of the car is a little too bright.

5. You have to press the brake pedal hard for the car to start when you press the start button. I had a few panic moments when the car wouldn't start (Handbrake was on, and shifter was in P, so no need to press the pedal so hard maa).

6. I drive with the i-stop switched off...don't need it. FC currently is 8.1 for Pg driving.

7. Inserting a CD is a bit awkward due to the shifter being in the way when in P, but not a big problem.

8. Owner's manual is thick and heavy...A few options are for "* Some models" but they don't specify which model (CBU? European? HS? MS?).

9. I have a habit of always checking the engine coolant temperature when I drive my other cars, but there's no such display on the M3. You get a blue led icon when you start the car in the morning. The engine revs at just over 1K for some seconds until the light goes out. I'd like to know the coolant temperature when I'm driving, seeing that M3 has a high compression ratio engine.

10. And finally, here in Pg, the car is a powerful magnet for motorcycles (especially those with all kinds of sharp and protruding attachments on the back

Really surprise to hear CKD owner said cabin noise is low...
If compare to Civic, I felt Mazda 3 cabin noise is louder.

If this is true, then must be they done something to reduce the cabin noise for CKD. What the hell.

If not mistaken, there is one setting call ALC in your sound setting there, I believe that is the setting to control your audio volume based on the car speed.

such high compression, is it recommended to use ron97 ?

Any new M3 owner here upgrade from B segments 1.5 car? How is the performance? much better or just slighter better? I remember one of the M3 owner here commented that he lost in drag race vs Vios. 

But it sound impossible 162hp vs 109hp.

For my current car, golf, hold the unlock button and all four windows will wind down. It's useful feature for hot place like Malaysia. The hot air can get out of the car while you walking to the car

I wouldn't spend so much on coating. It makes the surface smooth and easy to clean but other than that it can't protect the paint much. It doesn't protect against bird droppings, tree sap, scratches or watermarks. The coating usually last only a year.

Hi M3 CKD owners. After getting my M3 HS for 3 months, i have been monitoring my FC everytime i repump full tank.

I am averaging 9.7l per 100km for purely city driving only.. Drive slowly, minimum load (driver only), hardly rev RPM high, and normal city drive with minor traffic.. not really major traffic and even use ISTOP everytime.

Based on full tank there are 4 quarters in total in the fuel gauge. I realise im always getting on average:
Q4 = 150km
Q3 = 75 km
Q2 = 75km
Q1 = 75km

Hence i usually get less than 400km on a full tank of petrol @ 9.7l per 100km which is not what i expected.

Currently at 2700 km mileage already.

Any owners can comment on my FC or share similar stats for same city driving exp?
Im quite dissapointed with the FC and want to know if its normal or something not right with my ride.

i believe many had came across this, to make it simple is if you have family do go for altis or civic. i choose M3 coz i hardly fetch ppl and i wan to enjoy the riding experience. i've love jetta too but with so many bad comment i'd just try avoid it.

Hey guys, I wonder why does the latest mazda cars are efficient than conventional cars that can rival against downsized turbocharged engine. Is it something to do on the SKyactiv technology. I heard the engine are design for efficiency by improving the exhaust gas recirculation in 4-2-1 and increase the compression ratio. Is it true that these application that Mazda did really can improve the efficiency tremendously eventhough at such a standard NA ICE based on the output and torque?

Need some advice: Am thinking of buying this car but not sure which is better The Mazda GL or the one with iActive sense.
Is the iActive sense really useful for our roads and does the HUD interfere when driving?
