What kind of central lock?

I don't think the brake autolock at RM477 is worth it. It's only worth about RM200 outside.

Just wait a while. More plug and play accessories are being released for Mazda 3 Skyactiv which won't void warranty. I'm waiting for an OEM alarm upgrade which incorporate autolock, confirmation sound when arming/disarming, starter kill switch and battery backup siren.

Im curious about how the central lock works. I understand that the driver will have to step on the brake to start the car. Since the central lock also works when the driver steps on the brake, does it mean that the cental lock will be activated when the driver starts the car? will the central lock system disrupts the keyless system?

that's for autolock, but how about auto unlock ? what will cause it to unlock automatically when car stops ?
or is the autolock only effective from outside ?

I think that's how it's implemented in Japanese cars (which is kinda unsafe).

Automatic locking/unlocking on my DS3 works like this:-
- doors auto-lock when vehicle speed exceeds 20kmh
- locked doors continue to remain locked when parked (or stopped in any gear position) AND after engine switch-off. Because the doors use electronic locks, the doors only unlock automatically when you pull the inside handle to open the door (or in the event of an accident)

There is no central lock button. I think he means the manual lock at driver's door.

Of course autolock using brake or gear won't solve this problem.

Go for the safelock which locks by putting the gear in D and unlock by putting the gear in P by EA Autoworks. It's plug and play and won't void your warranty.
