any way the movie still rocks. nowadays movies have to have CGI and other computer aided sequences, its normal for action movies.
or else u guys didnt buy the ticket and watched it.

After so many encounter with Terminator shouldn't John Connor smart up and be a little more knowledgeable in fighting and leadership.He came across a little flat and uninspiring as a soon to be resistance leader.

I think should wait for the Bluray uncut/directors version...

There should be more for that movie...maybe 30min more!!...We want more!!...there should be more gore (even TV series sarah chronicle got more blood than T4), more f words, more killings, more love relationship between marcus and that chick, more battles at Skynet, more of Christians bale's great acting and role as John Connor, i want to clap hands/cry end of the show...I want it to be more brutal...T4 came and went for me, same like T3.....T1 and T2 were the bests...hope T5 will close everything nicely...and i think we haven't seen the last of Arnie (even thou in CGI).

Kassar and Vajna are the people who made Rambo and Rocky, iinm.

Really nice.

The action scenes in T2 when Arnie with that Chopper bike against T1000 with the huge tow truck trying to save young John Connor were better and more intense...

I think I did a mistake of watching T1~3 again before watching T4. Since its fresh on my mind, I always compare T4 to T1 and T2.
Arnie is legendary in T1 and T2. Its hard to beat that benchmark.

My worst fears were confirmed. This travesty is such an insult to all that has come before. T3 is a masterpiece compared to this stinking pile of poo. For all his good intentions, McG is as talentless as his name is short. Bale was poor and everyone else was as dull and bland as the color palette of this movie. OK, so Sam Worthington manages to show flashes of talent but its a pity it had to be in this cesspool. In fact, I'm beginning to think that the infamous Bale tirade was just a marketing ploy to thrust this non-movie into the public eye. And they want to make a f***ing trilogy out of this? God help us all.

I thought the same when I saw the trailers. Give us some natural colours, not just friggin grey.

I'm watching it next week, not expecting much, but hope I'll be pleasantly surprised.

as far as i know
there will be 2 more series in terminator salvation. as John Connor himself already signed for a trilogy. it is believed that The Resistance will win the war in the third installment thus ending this Terminator franchise.
i watched it last nite an will watch it again anytime soon. i had fun watching it, i like Bale as Connor. the twist are good, well worth noting that it was more like an alternate universe since the events of T1, T2 and T3 where they changed the course of the story. T4 is just a kick start for the further 2 upcoming movies where Connor becomes the leader of Resistance. im enjoying the movie~and you should too~

Well,maybe I can explain tis.Since I had watched the all "Terminator Trilogy" except Sarah Connor Chronicles & Terminator Salvation

In T1
T-101 (Arnold,which is also the villain in tis movie) is send back to kill John Connor's mom,Sarah Connor.During tat time,Sarah Connor is a young and unmarried lady.

And Kyle is a soldier which is send by John Connor (in future) to protect his mom.And Kyle also told Sarah Connor tat her unborn son is a "leader" in the future.Tats why T-800 is after them!

In tis movie,there is a scene where Kyle make love wif Sarah.

In T2
Since T-101 was failed to kill Sarah Connor in T1,10 years later...John Connor is a 10 year old kid.And SKYnet send another terminator which is a advanced model(T-1000 aka Liquid Metal) to kill John Connor.

And John Connor (in future) send a T-101 (Arnold,tis time he is the hero) to protect John Connor (the kid) and his mom.This is to prevent Judgement Day.

In tis movie,I can say tat the ending is perfect with nothing else left behind.(SKYnet is destroyed and Arnold also terminate himself)

In T3
Judgement Day actually was been "delayed" and US goverment re-open back SKYnet.N tat's the reason how SKYnet exist back again.

Kate Brewster (John Connor's wife in future) send T-800 (Arnold) to protect John Connor (teenage guy) and herself (teenage gal)

And SKYnet send a new model of Terminator named Terminatrix aka T-X (Kristanna Loken) to kill John Connor (teenage guy) and Kate Brewster (teenage gal)

In T3,it do mentioned that John Connor is already dead in the future...there is a part where Arnold says tat he was send by Kate Brewster and not John Connor from the future.

Not a roller coaster ride for me, although the actions were there...just can't feel the impact like T2 or T1 did...I think probably to the CGI or the backdrop color there use.

I think T1,2,3 should be as a reference only and treat T4 as a new installment to Bales trilogy...that way will not compare so much action hero Arnie with Bale or CGI with real stunts.

I really hope the rest of the trilogy gets better....T4 had all the actions, the heroes, but all lacked the weight to actual be convincing, but I kinda agree, the Terminators models like HK, motobike etc were great.

T2 was the best among all, "I'll be back, trust me"
