Recap by watching the terminator, t2 and t3, theres also a series which is Sarah connor chronicles. Im quite surprised youve never watched t2.

This movie is not Star Trek. You need to at least watching the Judgment day to T3 before watching this.

Kyle only made a short appearance in the "directors cut" in t2, so he has to watch the 84' terminator to fully comprehend terminator salvation.

I would say I couldn't remember any parts of it, heck I think I was a kid during that time, except for T3, which I watched a bit of it, but oh well... stil, a bit of relation should do the movie justice.

Then, you shouldn't blame this movie T3 cannot tell you the whole story.

Its not confusing at all if you know how to inter relate the stories with past terminator movies

The main important guy in salvation is not connor nor wright. Its Kyle Reese and will eventually lead to the events of T1

T3's storyline is meh.....

Just the 1st one at least, Kyle had a small role on t.s and the main focus of the story was on marcus wright because sarah nor the t-800 never mentioned john about the REAL infiltrator .

hmmm so marcus is the main character and bale is just supporting role

doesnt feel like terminator without arnold....real arnold...

Cristian Bale's acting in this movie is seriously nothing to shout about. Eh... in fact that's all he does. Shout! Shout! Shout!

"What are you?!!!"...... "We are all dead!!!!!"........ "This is SPARTAAAAAAA....!!!"

Seriously, his voice as Batman sux, and so is his non-stop shouting in this movie. ROFL!

Just came back from the movie. Quite nice and worth paying for the ticket. It's action and scenes. We find the storyline is predictable because we knew what happen after all. In T1 & T4, T800 was the latest model from Skynet but not for T2 & T3. We knew that John Connor will not die in the movie after all. T3 actually spoilt the whole thing saying Connor will be dead. Overall we need to know why Connor save Kyle Reese. We need to watch T1 first. Arnold's CGI was quite real. One more thing I do not understand is why Cyberdyne build up Marcus Wright and Skynet was saying they built Marcus part. That is the only thing I do not understand. And how the hell Skynet knew Kyle is John's father. In T1, Kyle told Sarah nobody even Skynet do not know who is John's father

Not bad terminator salvation but still there's a lack of story doesnt related from the previous terminator series even hmm cant recall whos the one who send terminator back when the time of sarah chronicles. Is all about john connor XD. dam wish to see more arnold action haha possibly there will be T5 end of the machines XD didnt explain how the kyle send back to the past and also how did attuaclly john connor create arnor terminator and 1st word i love to hear " I BE BACK" ! hope will be original directing by James Cameron.

Marcus wright was created to get to john connor and kyle reese by leading them to skynet, having all the metal failed to kill john in the past, serena (which could possibly be a t-1000) :-

1. Was sent back by the time displacement machine to plot the whole thing.
2. Could have been an innocent person a scientist maybe who had worked in some biology division for tissue regenarative purposes which later her worked was used and improved by skynet to build flesh over metal.
3. Is a real person and possibly skynet.

Main purpose for marcus was to befriend and gain trust from both parties so the both of them end up with each other in the same building. Hence the tracking device and the cam point view on the big screen to follow its progress.

John has talked openly about his father and skynet could have picked it up.

Actually connor are oredi dead but somehow marcus organic machine replace the heart so I guess terminator mistook that he kill him I wonder why connor didnt take the arnold head in the manufacture machine weird wor.... The reason behind how the hell skynet recognize identity kyle might be from T3 rise of the machines been program by T-x somehow didnt explain details But definetly target resistance in the future all the information. is my theory or check in wiki

this film is great. does it topples t3? hell yeah. does it topples t1 and t2? still did not cut it. but hell, it's a good film, 30% rottentomatoes aren't agreedable. 9/10 for this film and T3 for 6.19293/10. T1 and T2? 9.9/10
but still, the film had much of a bad cut. i blame WB for that. and this film feels to clean, where's the bloody gore?

about that kyle recognizing skynet stuff, the police department have a record about john's father so maybe skynet finds that he is his father.
man, gonna watch it again, tomorrow.

Accoring to Arnold in T3, He told John that he will die in 2032. Marcus was built in 2003 before Skynet. Cyberdyne built him, not Skynet. Or Marcus donated his organs and Cyberdyne did not use it until Skynet uses it to rebuild Marcus?
