Terminator ended at T2 for me, T3 just didn't cut it, hopefully T4 is worth the cinema ticket.

T1 is still my no.1 for the terminator series even thou the rest we much, much better in the CGI

I hope T4 lives up to its hype...cos' I'll be spending money on the tickets....from the early ratings, looks like it didn't suck...which is good as the previous ones were getting really bad.
I really hope they don't intro more new Terminator models but instead built 'characters' with the existing ones. Yes, I expect lotsa action, but storyline is also important.

I think Arnie got paid too for lending his 'face' to them, and they also saved a few million bucks in cheques to Arnie...so its a win - win situation.
After all, Arnie got less time to do stuff like this in his political career.

I'm getting ready for this, since this is a prequel and a sequel combined, which Terminator movie should i watch again to fully appreciate T4?
T1 and T2? or T2 and T3? or hopefully not T1,2,3?...sighs

I think the 27th night tickets are open for booking now....I'm waiting for the 28th one since oledi take leave.

THen again, if Star Trek is showing, might as well watch both...

haha....yup, its the Terminator, I'm in for the action....story line soso also OK...as long as its logical...if you can't have both, at least have one great epic battle.

Getting my tickets tomorrow for 28th...hope they are still available!

Just watched T1, will watch T2 tonight....hmmm...its a bit tired to watch those movies all over again....T2 is gonna be abt 2 hours....so I guess I will Fast Forward the action scenes and concentrate on the story line then....hope that cuts 1 hour.

hehe...got my ticket...tomorrow 11.20am star trek, then continue with T4 at 2.10pm...leaves me 30min break between movies....

Funny, my tickets showed T4 rated U and Star Trek PG13...

Anyway....I'm out of here...gonna watch T2 tonite...

I'm a terminator fan, watched all the movies and TV series (sarah).

It was hard for me to open my eyes at the beginning stage (after the heli crash)...blame it on watching too much terminator stuff previous night. Mid way, story picked up and end of it....nothing to shout abt. (except for the action scenes which was very good...up to todays standards).
-Tense and suspense scenes were missing...it was never like T1 where you are sitting edge of the seat, maybe there was too much of it in T4 or not executed well by the director.
-Void of humor (yes, it does matter even with a Terminator movie, T2 was great, even T3 had some humor). Now I can understand why some critics mention it.
-Infiltration to skynet was way too easy...I was thinking of nothing less than ninja skills or superman to break into skynet alone, even with Marcus help.
-Another problem is it started and ended in 2018......even in 2029, humans were having a hard time with skynet...so 2018 is just a passing year...so when are we humans gonna win the war....T5, T6 or T7?
-Thing is...why did he has to save Kyle Reese?...yes, I know its mention in T1, but think of it....John Connor is alive right?...even with his dad getting killed, he will still be alive.....how many 'worlds' are there bro?....suppose someones dad gets killed by an accident means that the child is not born?...but the child now is already been born and kicking butts. i remembered in 2029, John in still alive (but older with the scar face) fighting a war.

End of the day, after rewinding back T1,2 and 3...plus all of that sarah chronicles, come to my senses abt the whole Terminator Story and the fall of it in T4...hope they wont mess it up in T5.

I personally give it a 6/10! sorry fanz....6 because the action was good, and they didn't forget Arnie....or else its a 4/10.
I would have given an 8 if it was not rated U, with more F words, more gore, more epic battle, more hope of the survival of mankind, and i wanna clap my hands or cry in the end of the show....sadly all this was missing.

There should be more for that movie...maybe 30min more!!...We want more!!...there should be more gore (even TV series sarah chronicle got more blood than T4), more f words, more killings, more love relationship between marcus and that chick, more battles at Skynet, more of Christians bale's great acting and role as John Connor, i want to clap hands/cry end of the show...I want it to be more brutal...T4 came and went for me, same like T3.....T1 and T2 were the bests...hope T5 will close everything nicely...and i think we haven't seen the last of Arnie (even thou in CGI).

The action scenes in T2 when Arnie with that Chopper bike against T1000 with the huge tow truck trying to save young John Connor were better and more intense...

I think I did a mistake of watching T1~3 again before watching T4. Since its fresh on my mind, I always compare T4 to T1 and T2.
Arnie is legendary in T1 and T2. Its hard to beat that benchmark.

So whats your personal ratings over 10?

Not a roller coaster ride for me, although the actions were there...just can't feel the impact like T2 or T1 did...I think probably to the CGI or the backdrop color there use.

I think T1,2,3 should be as a reference only and treat T4 as a new installment to Bales trilogy...that way will not compare so much action hero Arnie with Bale or CGI with real stunts.

I really hope the rest of the trilogy gets better....T4 had all the actions, the heroes, but all lacked the weight to actual be convincing, but I kinda agree, the Terminators models like HK, motobike etc were great.

Arnie is Model T101...but his figures comes with the most common T800, T850, or maybe he was in a tougher T888 in T4.

I remembered I was in Japan in 90s watching T2...over there they even give you nice T2 booklets and goody bag...and best thing is, if you are in the Cinema hall, you can watch all movies the whole day without paying extra, but of course need to check a simple screen for seat availability.

In T2, watching Arnie taking out his shotgun from the roses was like poetry in motion.
I cried watching Arnie going into that molten furnace with his thumbs ups.
T1000 was just awesome.

In T1, Linda hamilton's life was hanging by the thread right till the end.
A lot of blood and F words just make things interesting and funny as well.

What happen to all that in the newer Terminator movies?

I think better treat T4 as a fresh movie and do not refresh yourself with watch T1,2and 3 prior to watching T4....Its hard to beat Arnie and James Cameron at their own game...you'll be disappointed.

Actually, since you mention it....for me Star Trek was the better movie.....only thing is it lacked imaginative ideas in dealing with enemies that made the movie series so watchable...but due to the characters are so young...its forgivable.....it was only OK for Terminator Salvation...but thumbs up for Star Trek. And bad news is, I'm not a Trekkie fan.


End of the day, there was 30 pages built up to its release, I think hopefully, not another 30pages to discuss its shortcomings....

Same like cloverfield..the was a lot of discussion before and after the screenings.....but for me cloverfield rocks...
