MNP is about porting numbers between network operators, not about downgrading from postpaid to prepaid. To downgrade, you should consult your telco instead.

Why would anyone downgrade from postpaid to prepaid anyway?

You port from postpaid to prepaid and vice versa, as long as there's no binding contract.

My dear friend, MNP is solely for porting purposes whereby you get to retain you mobile number.

2G/3G - phone dependent
Postpaid/prepaid - user's choice, nothing to do with MNP

I transferred multiple numbers to Celcom but only 1 number was processed within 2 days while the remaining remain in queue. I checked with Celcom and they told me that mine was still in the waiting list. (After 5 working days) Anyone here with the same experience having delays while porting multiple numbers to a single provider ?

MNP is currently in its first implementation stage, only available in Klang Valley, beginning with prepaid users and recently, postpaid users. Soft launch is the proper term instead.

As for the launching in October, its full scale and goes nationwide. All telcos should be ready and be able to handle the load after that.

It sounds the same, it looks the same, it works the same but it's not the same.

LOL.

Last week i went to celcom center to apply for porting. My current telco is Maxis (prepaid) and i'm going to switch to Celcom (prepaid). I have completely fill up the form and they give me a new sim card. But the process of porting will take about 3-5 working days. They will send me SMS notification once the porting is done.

The problem is i still never receive any call/SMS regarding the porting until now. It's more than 5 working days!

Anybody of you here have experience this problem? I don't want to call the service center since i'm so bz. Just wanna share with anybody here who face this kind on cases...

TQ...

Its possible that your account details are not accurate, eg. old ic number and new ic number used creating a mismatch between the 2 telcos info

Not really. I also have this problem right now ... apparently since they open the porting to Postpaid users, the numbers of daily applications jumped to beyond that 100 per day limit. My porting has been due for like 10 days and when I checked ... application has not been rejected, just that still in the queue for processing.
