after resubmission of port out request from hotlink on yesterday's afternoon, maxis sent me a confirmation request sms at 01:20 morning, and asking me to reply to 07:20 am!
gosh..glad i woke up early and saw the message! maxis is really playing punk! |

the process of porting out from hotlink (maybe maxis postpaid too) is now somewhat automated.
let say the time of submission is t. at t+5hours, maxis will send you a confirmation sms requiring you to respond within 6 hours, so the deadline is t+11h. the new sms shortcode number is 20025. previously, it was 23400. unlike other telcos, maxis doesnt compensate for night time. so be careful when you submit the mnp at the new telco. if you submit in the evening, the confirmation sms will come in the middle of the night and you might miss it. 10 hours after the deadline, ie at t+21hours, maxis will process the mnp request and inform you by sms that they are processing your request. if you have responded to the sms and there is no other issue, your line will be cut off immediately. admission: tl;dr. i want to rehash my service providers around; with existing and new MSISDN being options on the table to be redistributed among family members. for mnp/conversion .... (1) celcom postpaid into xpax? (2) xpax into celcom postpaid? (3) mnp from maxis/hotlink into celcom as postpaid subline? (4) mnp from maxis/hotlink into celcom as prepaid? (5) cooling period between activation and conversion to happen - celcom to celcom (6) cooling period between activation and conversion to happen - maxis/hotlink to celcom thanks in advance. |

Guys,
I have requested MNP from Digi to U Mobile yesterday around noon using U Mobile website. Both are prepaid. Until now, I still haven't received any confirmation SMS from Digi. Is this normal? |
