QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Feb 21 2016, 01:04 PM) guys need some mnp guide. i'm currently on celcom first basic 38 - no contract (my bill due 13th of every month). i have already settled all my bill till 13 of february. so if i would like to ask if i can straight away port out to another telco? or do i have to settle the pro-rated bill from 14 feb till now first then only can port out? as far as i can remember i've already paid an advanced payment when i sign up for the celcom first basic 38 plan. when i terminated my first 38, there was no pro-rating and i was billed the last month in full. advance payment is the one time payment that celcom took and wont give you back. something like registration fee. it's definitely not the money to offset subsequent monthly bills. one forummer did disagree with me and said it can be refunded, but i havent got time to contact celcom and argue for my money back.

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Feb 23 2016, 12:15 AM) that's what i got from their CS as well - registration fee. but back to your situation, you were billed the last month in full - meaning if your statement date is 13 march and you decide to MNP out on 23 feb, you need to pay the 14 feb to 13 march bill first? i dont think so. mnp rules say that you need to pay all your bills but if the final bill has not been issued, there is no unpaid bill to pay right? once mnp is completed, celcom will terminate your line/account and then bill you the last time when the billing date comes. so there is no need to prepay imho. i didnt do mnp as i was too foolish back then, so someone might prove me wrong. my request to port out from digi prepaid was rejected to NON FULFILLMENT OF CONTRACT OBLIGATION. does anyone know what it means? i have used it for more than 30 days and dont see any reason for my prepaid to be under contract.
attempts to contact customer service over phone failed due to agents busy and instead of putting me on hold and retry, they just cut me off.

QUOTE(Mr.7 @ May 19 2016, 10:41 PM) Which telco were you previously on? I would advice you to resubmit your MNP via the DG Centre. porting out from digi to umobile. called umobile and even they were surprised when i informed them i'm prepaid and got contractual obligation as rejection reason from digi.

QUOTE(Mr.7 @ May 19 2016, 11:24 PM) That's weird. Did Digi send you any SMS besides this notification of contract obligation? no, only one sms. porting denied with a short reason citing contract. anyone else experienced this when porting out from digi prepaid?

QUOTE(seanlss @ Nov 9 2016, 03:01 PM) I just request to port into u mobile postpaid from hotlink. is it i have to stay active until the port out day and maintain credit balance at least RM1.00? no need balance. just stay active. but staying active can be a big challenge when hotlink takes their own sweet time to process your request.

QUOTE(omega10 @ Nov 15 2016, 04:24 PM) The MNP was submitted on Wednesday and I have written to Maxis Listen via Twitter to inform them about the MNP submission. They acknowledge the receipt of the request. Initially they replied informing me the MNP is in progress but I never receive the sms confirming the MNP. After that they stop entertaining me. I reported to SKMM, on Friday follow by a call to maxis to inform them I can't see any reason they will delay the MNP. The line was successfully MNP at 2 pm the same day without the sms confirmation. thanks. i guess to port out successfully from maxis/hotlink, we need to go thru skmm.
