The latest speculation is how many episodes?

Probably 3 episodes, the most, 4 episodes. Still in speculation.

So far, we can confirm that there will be episode 2, which currently in development.

but they said midgar only for ep1, original midgar was around 5 to 7 hours game play for me when i was a kid.

Maybe is easier for them to make an overwold like the original than the current FF15 open world right? hmmmm

well, I will definitely buy it.

First , you need to know that original midgar in PS 1 is small and simple. Now is PS4, in this new version, the midgar will become larger, greater, everything will be in full HD! Other than that, we got new stories and new characters. The content is much much larger compared to the old one.

I believe they will polish the whole midgar chapter and make it better to adapt today's standard. And for sure, there will be more surprises for us until the end. What we can do is to support the works and let SQ Enix has enough fund to continue to work out the following episodes.

Episode 1 comes in 2 blu Ray discs.
I’ve not played a game on the PS4 which requires 2 blu Ray discs.... and this is just episode 1.

I hope we are able to export our saves to PS5 and play it there for the next few episodes.

probably around 1 hour+ playtime already consumed 7GB++..
overall pretty good, needless to say the picture quality is awesome, but feel like lack of something..

The non-HDR mode seems to be crushing a lot of shadow details for some reason.

i dont know why mine is in chinese...anyone know how to change to english?

I was pretty excited with the demo, having played ff7 on my PS1 2 decades ago. When they took away the ATBS, ff7 thus became an action rpg. The classic mode didn't help to relive the original gameplay either, being automated we don't even have to key in any commands at all.

I will be giving this one a miss, such a shame, because ff7 was the one that introduced me to Japanese rpg genre.

I fought against the spider machine boss, how do I dodge propperly? I cant tell if this is an action game or what..
