guys..wanna ask for the floating market..i heard need take 3-4 hours to rearch from bangkok..but i my fren told me just need 1.5hours..so which wan is truth?

there are many different floating markets with different travel times, but the quality and size do change. i went to the one nearer to the city, probably the 1.5 hours one. maybe even closer. but that kinda sucked. if you really have time maybe you can do the far away one.

it takes around 2 and half hour to reach to the floating market. not much things to see but one-time experience is worth.

Actually, some of the best (and ridiculously cheap) thai food I had was at the floating market. Was about 2 hrs away though, past the area where you can catch seafood at the beach.

Hey panda, you going to bkk on nov?

in nov. hmm. probably. but most likely for work. i just got back from bkk last week, there was some exhibition but was such a horrible trip. stayed somewhat near the airport so nothing to do, only got to do one foot massage cry.gif but one night i did go to have a drink and watch the singing at suan lum. i love that place for some reason. i think its the bad singers. are you going in november? i dont mind meetin up if i have time. and we are there at the same time. the more the merrier thumbup.gif

Go for the tom yum! They are all in stalls, kinda like going to a ming tien or something. So just look look and pick what you want.

Don't recall what the floating market was called again... Will get back when I talk to my mom again, she was the one that took us around.

Hmmm, well its pretty much taking the clams outta the beach/sea bed. Not exactly the most exciting, but its worth a try once for the experience. And you can get quite a bucketful! Which you can bring back to steam and eat tongue.gif Just go early in the morning before the tide drops or you'll have to walk quite a bit to reach a good spot.

Pandar - What exhibition was it? My sister was talking bout it but never mentioned what it actually was -__- But yeah, will be going there again on nov, weather should still be blazing hot I think. Hahaha yeah, its fine, Suam Lum isn't very far from where I stay.

Well, you can sell the clams back to the stalls, its not worth much though.

Moms' thai and my parents stay in bkk, so they got a kitchen tongue.gif

Haven't been to Pattaya in a while, so can't accurately help you there, sorry!

the exhibition was called power gen asia. all about electricity and renewable energy. so my company had a booth there. quite exciting. but it was at impact so it was damn far.

ah also wanted to add, i almost kena con infront of the grand palace. buggers were all like grand palace is closed, the monks are knocking the bell. come back later. here is my tuk tuk friend he will take you around to the other sites. i walk like 5 meters away got the big entrance for the palace hahahah.
