my trip in aug will consist of shopping, eating and shopping only....
plan to do most of the shopping in Chattuchak market and platinum mall..

anyone know how much approx is
1) T-shirt
2) accessories - earring, necklace, bracelets, etc
3) shoes
4) dresses, clothes
5) aromatheraphy stuffs like incense and essential oil
6) home decor stuff like statue and small wooden pots, fans etc

I know the price is subject to how well u haggle, but would be good to roughly know if you have a good bargain or not...

Is Rm800 enough for 2 days shopping and eating?

thanks

if i were you , i stay in Silom.

- 3-4 stations away from shopping mall , siam paragon and stuff
- 1 station away from Lumphini beer garden
- 3 station away from the river taxi
- a lot of station away from chatuchak. lol.... about 10 stations i think
- at night u walk out , got pasar malam
- best chicken rice shop there..lol .. right below silom BTS station.
- great bars. Mostly for gay and lesbian. But Tapas bar is one of the best for me.
- right behind silom road , u can get thai market. Get real thai food there. smile.gif

haha.....

dun go to those big malls.
either everthing is tOOOO expensive or branded...

i would suggest u to go to Emporium or Central...
smile.gif
those are more like Midvalley prices or 1 utama.. affordable....
especially Central....

MBK there for me like Sungai wang..
i dun go there anymore....

Chatuchak too.... so hot and stuffy...
prefer Lumphini ..

not really sure, i just went there once. after that i just got lazy and go to any massage store. im sure if you google it you can find it. they even have a branch in kl i think. the one in centerpoint bandar utama.
most of the stalls got pretty good food. i just thought its funny the shops you put all are like malaysian specialty food heheh. chickenrice, beef noodle soup and wan tan mee hahaha. i love the pad thai and tom yum goong. check it out. most places is sedap gile.

i went to chatuchak last week. was good fun. didnt have much time though and its as hot as i remember. but was thinking better go earliest possible. anyone know what time it opens?
*
the shop starts to open around 7am....
by 8.. only 10% of the shop opens....

for me.. best time to go is 9am... less ppl...morning morning..
some ppl still opening their shop...

chatuchak... u go 10 shops.. 7 shops are selling the same items..
so u dun need to wait til all shops are open ....

saw the ice cream but didn't try. saw it sells in jonker street melaka too. i dunno where is 2nd hand section but just keep walking & turning & get lost sometimes, & sometimes keep repeating the route, d market is too big liao, we spent from 10am to 4pm but didn't cover all, so thinking to go again next time, mainly for shopping, no more site seeing.
*
it's just a normal icepop... with lotsa colouring..
i buy it cuz it looks so cool biggrin.gif

haha... i dun think u need to cover the whole thing.. nothing much to see....
i stay there .. but i dun go there...
prefer less crowded and hot place..
like lumphini bazaar.... silom night market...
price is almost the same.. if u're good in bargaining..

haha..
once my bro and i were super late for airport check-in ( we were in Bangkok for work )
Our flight to HK was like in 2 1/2 hours ....

And we were still in the hotel , unpacked luggage...
Luckily i manage to wake up.. and scream at my brother ....
he just start throwing everyting into the luggage.. and i shower and went down to check out...

Get into the cab..Ask the cab to drive fast ...
He said it's the limit he could drive.. which was 120kmph...
My bro paid him extra 500 baht.. if he could get us to the airport in 10 mins... LoL...
We manage to reach the airport on time..
