Applied supp card for my family through branch on 13/07 and received card via post today despite selected option send card to branch. Anyways 2 weeks was surprisingly fast.. I guess for supp card application it's relatively much easier  thumbup.gif

Did PB call the supp card for verification, or they just process straightaway and send out the card? I'm asking because I intend to apply for a supp card for a person who is not in Malaysia right now. Don't want him/her to answer roaming call from PB. Thanks!

Can enter together but will consume 2x entries.
That is just the company name. Wait for monthly statement to see whether you receive the cash back or not. Depends on the MCC code.

Initially I thought that too, but after I check the statement, indeed that is not under dining. I'm surprised though.
That's the reason I did not fully utilized RM60 cashback for this month. LOL

Nope.. No verification at all. Checked via IVR regularly status changed from "in process" to "approved" in 1 week. But I actually applied in front of pb customer service with my family member beside to sign the application form. You plan to apply online? Or else you gotta just hand in an application form that is pre-filled (and signed if you can) I guess. And of course a reminder don't forget to tick option send card to home address and make sure somebody's there to collect it. Caz in my own case, no attempted delivery and when I called cs the only option left is send card to branch, and for that supp card holder must be physically present to self-collect as ic and thumbprint verification is mandatory.

Just to share, if you do plan to activate the supp card on behalf of that person (although we are not supposed to) please make sure you remember "mother's name" that you've entered during application. Today I paused for 1.5sec during phone verification trying to recall and busted, cs asked to talk to card holder straight doh.gif lol

I managed to collect the supp card (I'm the principal) by myself from the branch and activate it on the spot too. Likewise in my case they didn't call my supp for any verification.

Thanks wing2010 for your clarifications! Yup, I plan to apply online and got all the details including signature. I usually ask banks to send to office so there shouldn't be a prob with physical verification by supp cardholder.

I'll activate the card when him/her comes back. BTW, with SMS activation, you don't need to speak to CS and do verification. Won't sound suspicious if can't do verification flawlessly.

anyone with annual income 90k can get VS successfully? hmm.gif hmm.gif
can share how do u get it?

if my annual income is 90k, i need to pledge 10k FD then only apply?
Will public bank check on DSR (Debt service ratio)? My DSR around 60% (Car loan + house loan)/income.
I have 6 credit cards now. Will pbb reject my application?

https://www.pbebank.com/pdf/Cards/Visa-Sign.../signature.aspx

3. Minimum Income Requirement : RM100,000 per annum
Minimum Age Requirement: Principal 21, Supplementary 18

4. For Public Bank Fixed Deposit (FD) customers who opt to apply PB Credit Card secured by FD,
the credit line assigned will be based on the FD pledged amount at a ratio of 1:1. To apply,
please personally submit your application at your FD account holding branch and bring along
your FD certificate for verification and photostat copy of your NRIC (both sides).

you can just try, no harm..60% DSR should be ok. Only worries is your income lower 10k..

For FD pledged, not calculated like that. You need to pledge 35k to get this card, it is the value set by bank.
Just try your normal application first, if rejected, only consider this FD pledge, or else change card just like me... then work harder to earn more, or clear your debt more, then only reapply flex.gif

Emailed PB VS application last week, no news until now. Sent a few reminder email, they replied they can't check the status due to security compliance?! and suggest me to call office instead.

Meanwhile, applied Maybank VS on Sunday, today received sms notify application success, and can see new cc on M2U. 4 days only.

My vendor's staff based in my office who is under my supervision told me that she tried to apply for MBB and Citibank but got rejected by these two banks. She has never held any card before and earns more than RM 36k per annum.

The only thing is she is 55 years old now, I believe this could be the reason.

Then, she told me has few 100ks of FD with PBB, I told her to try for PBB VS and she went to PBB but they refused to give it to her. sweat.gif

Is it really age that causes the rejection?
