QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Sep 7 2021, 05:04 PM) just ask someone to lift your speaker up while you're listening to it to hear the difference. If night and day difference then yes. If lift up and put back down sounds the same then save money. I use isolation pad not because to isolate but to raise speaker to point my ear only. That alone is my reason to buy those cheap foam wedges haha |

Hey sifus and Mr. Edifier.
Im an audio newbie looking for recommendations for Setup: Laptop and/or phone in room Main usage: Movies / TV Show Secondary usage: Music / Youtube Budget: RM200 - RM400 Currently eyeing: XM6BT / M3600D / maybe R1700BT My Altec Lansing VS4621 Octane 7 has broken down and i missed the bass. Especially for action scenes and music. I was considering R1700BT but some ppl said its bass is not that powerful and not that good for movies compared to like M3600D. Does the M3600D come with bluetooth as well? Any product or QC issues right now? Abit worried on its condition since there was some issues back then right. Can the speakers be both connected to my laptop and my phone? I wont play them both at the same time, but it will be very convenient to have my phone playing the sound on the speakers as well, and switching back and forth from my laptop without plugging in and out, or turning Bluetooth on and off on my phone etc Can recommend the physical store to buy them at a good price and can test them? Viewnet? All IT? Should i avoid Harvey Norman? Im worried about delivery cuz some ppl had defects in theirs, some scratches or bumps in the reviews. And i kinda want them fast and immediately, cant wait for even a few days. So for now, i still cant decide between XM6BT and M3600D cuz idk which is better suited for my use. I would love to buy tmr. Thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(miyeonevermioff @ Sep 9 2021, 05:05 PM) Aiya disappointed dy now idk wat to buy dy. Adui i keep reading reviews googling watch youtube abit still duno which one to buy. Cuz some cheap but underpowered, nice but over budget, fit my budget but EOL lol haiya. But for Logitech z625, abit ugly and no bluetooth. I need to connect to phone also, but feel like need to buy the cable oso and shopee one like china low quality cable so i sked have to keep buying the cables over n over. Any other suggestions guys? Tmr im gonna go to All IT in klcc to see n test but dont knw what to look also lol. If still cant find there, then i guess have to go lowyat viewnet dy. I think there might be a small chance to be able to find XMBT6 or M3600D tho. Some gaming store have it i think when i googled it. Dont know which to pick between these two though. Which should i choose among these two? I almost fixed on logitech g560 also cuz i think the lights will enhance my movies and tv shows experience, so i was willing to top up just for the lights. But some ppl online said the software sometimes got problems when update, or the lights will suddenly auto turn off regularly then they have to manually turn it on and off again but very mafan cuz happens regularly. Anyone got any take or experience on this lights problem kah? If no problem, then i would love to go for this. |

Pretty amazing. No fancy lights like logitech la but guaranteed good sound If you're adventurous and don't mind trying then click on spoiler. No fancy lights like logitech la but guaranteed good sound Haha i only willing to topup the budget specifically for logitech g560 for the lights cuz its great for movie, but i not willing to topup for sound quality upgrade, still have to stick with rm200 to rm500 budget oni.If you're adventurous and don't mind trying then click on spoiler. (Pretty sure this is a dumb idea from audiophile perspective but I've seen happy customers doing this) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Wa dat xiaomi tv soundbar + subwoofer seems like a rly good idea to me, i would like to try it. Abit worried about the give space between me and speaker for long throw part since its on a desk for my laptop which is quite close to me since its directly in front of me, max is 1m away, the distance definitely not like living room tv to sofa. But i guess yolo oni la. Fingers crossed it works with my laptop and phone la. Im so glad theres a mi store in klcc since im going there tmr. I hope they have it there and able to try it out. Thanks for the suggestion man. |

QUOTE(miyeonevermioff @ Sep 9 2021, 05:05 PM) Thanks eveyone, and especially miyeonevermioff for the Logitech Z625 suggestion.Tldr: I bought Z625. Satisfied la. Got happy ending. Lesson learned: ALWAYS test the product u r buying, not just the demo. Demo is to check and compare quality is satisfactory or not. Test product u r buying to avoid unnecessary stress, avoid wasting time to get replaced/fixed, avoid wasting transport expenses. I wasted almost whole day on this. Unnecessary damage by Grab: RM60, oof sakit, like a huge chunk from my speaker price dy. I am only unlucky from this one faulty product, other units shud be working fine one, and my own stupidity and carelessness of not testing the product im buying, i dont blame others, i only blame myself. But now its over n settled, okay la just let it be the past la. I have some enjoyable experiences and conversation throughout this ordeal so it was alright, im not mad/disappointed etc. Story time: (got some comparisons if u r into it after this section) At first, i went to Lowyat Viewnet to test Edifier and Logitech speakers. But they out of stock, but at least i can hear R1700BT and Z625 lor. R1700BT is decent but bass is lacking for my taste, and Z625 sounds quite decent, but didnt manage to test more. The worker there oni played one song, an Alan Walker song adui so generic overplayed song. But i paiseh to ask him to test more dy. Cuz at first i ask him can i test the speakers ah, he said no cuz out of stock. Then i said ya i knw but can i test it tho, he seemed abit dulan but he turned on the Z625 for me anyway. I asked a few workers in Viewnet about stuff, but they not friendly, seems miserable, n ciao away by themselves after few sec. If i got eye contact with them, they will look away or pretend to be busy lol. Don't like their customer service. Anyway, since they no stock, i have to go other shops lor, luckily All IT is next door, i went in n found M3600D im like wa i thought this fella extinct dy, so i quite happy its available n able to test. And they one last available unit only. Test the demo multiple genre songs, a tv show Lost episode i have on my phone and some movie trailers. Not very satisfied, got bass good lor, sound oso decent, feel like abit lacking tho especially when tv show ppl talking the time seems abit soft, but i just accept my fate la cuz this is what i can get for my price range, i hesitated to get Z625 because of price difference. So i just yolo buy M3600D oni la. But i didnt test the unit i bought, only the demo unit. Oof huge mistake, rly regret. Went home, plug in, happy that it works, decent oomph but after just 1 or 2 min, got problem dy, got bzz bzz sound every 3 to 4 second which cut/mute the audio when it happens. Panik n thought maybe my plug or socket or electric problem, i tried other sockets in the house also same problem. Huge regret man, i was tired man, out the whole day, now have to go back n settle again. Called up Lowyat All IT, then i have to call other outlet lor to change it, so i went KLCC to change it. They have the unit, and let me change also. But while waiting for them to check and test my M3600D, i get to hear their Logitech Z625 while waiting. The workers there oso quite friendly n can chat with them. They told me the Z625 is their favorite speaker there, and they play it in the store as the main speaker everyday. Their bestseller as well, one month 30 to 40 units sold. Hearing myself to compare M3600D and Z625, Z625 indeed sounds better. I also asked workers at Viewnet Lowyat and All IT KLCC to compare Logitech G560 and Z625. Both oso said sound quality, Z625 wins. G560 got lights oni become more expensive, but mediocre sound quality. Wew dodged a bullet there, luckily i didnt yolo when i see lights which i thought would enhance my cinematic experience. I seriously thought at that price, its sound would have been good automatically, disappointed to find out the truth. They let me change my M3600D with their new unit so im happy the process to replace my faulty product is smooth. But i still find the sound quality when i tested on demo to be abit lacking, and Z625 when i hear both times also seems to be better. So i decided to top up and change to Z625 instead. Now for some comparisons for those who duno whether to specifically get Z625 or M3600D. I knw its unfair to compare them since they are at different price points. Comparing rm449 to rm599 speakers, is just like rm150 vs rm300 speakers / rm300 vs rm450 speakers. They are at different categories. Obviously most of the time, the more expensive one will win but not always the case. These are not reviews since i noob and maybe what i compare dont rly matter also, but just my experience and opinion dats all. Price: Tie Cuz they r great at their own tiers, great bang for the buck for their price range. Packaging/First impression: Z625 M3600D comes with a cheap brown louya cardboard box, even the box looks old n crumpled. Z625 box looks good, because its colored and the box quality and material is better, solid and not easy crumpled/dented like the M3600D. So Z625 got a premium feel that rewards my sight and touch when i spent that amount of money. Extra details but not counted, cuz my M3600D is a faulty product, could be old too, left too long nobody buy, who knows: My M3600D had abit of brown stain on the grill of the subwoofer, i can't get it off by rubbing with my finger or tissue, so i didnt rly bother at that moment cuz i wanna check the sound or whether its working. It could be rust tho idk. Ease of carry/ Distribution of weight / Shape of box: Z625 Z625 is better and easier to carry because its in a shorter rectangle, whereas M3600D is a tall boring cube shape. Z625 is a solid box to hold, whereas M3600D i feel like a coolie when i carry it back home, and carry to the shop. It really felt like im moving some stuff like im moving house when i carry M3600D. I feel like a worker delivering the product. Whereas Z625, i feel like im the customer getting my product home. But who cares about box, its just a one time thing, its thrown after unboxing right. Okay moving on then. Looks /Style: Z625 M3600D seems sleek, but when i put them on my table, it just looks alright. It feels "tame". They feel forgettable on my table. Z625 looks quite nice after i get used to it, at first i hated the looks when i saw on google image/review website. But in person, they actually look good, u shud go to the store n see for yourself. They seems sleek, elegant, modern and "fierce". I like to rest my eyes from my laptop every now and then, and i will look up and see the speakers looking back at me, they r nice to see, what else can i say. Maybe it just looks good cuz its a new bought feeling of appreciating it, probably after awhile it will be back to meh. Both of them have been on my table for an equal short period of time, but i definitely liked Z625 more. Sound quality: Z625 Mentioned in my story time. Tldr: Z625 sounds better and clearer, bass is more satisfying too. Customer service: All IT KLCC They are friendly, fun, and helpful. Viewnet many workers tohsuika unfriendly muka masam, always not around, when they show up, stay few sec to answer 1 question, run away. The feeling when talking with them is like talking to some unifi/telco/bank on customer service hotline/ fast food workers. Sounds monotone, and dont care. Just wanna get it over with. Like real life NPC. Some ntg to do just stand around but the moment got eye contact ah, they look away and pretend got something to do, walk fast and look at shelves touch touch the stuff abit like checking. Not wiping them, not arranging them neatly, just touching, not turning it on or off, not pressing the buttons, but touching the surface like booping the stuff for 1 sec, then keep booping stuff. Turn back to look, got eye contact, then faster walk ahead more to boop more stuff, continue till out of range lol. Wadafak apa jadah punya hamkaling man. But to be fair the two guys who did this boop stuff and escape technique look like shy geeky guys, one guy is fat, one guy is very skinny. But not about their weight or body shape, its their face/personality/body language is shy geeky guy. Lol. But just funny to see la haha. Somewhat cute even (no homo). Cute not like attractive cute, but animals do clumsy dumb funny stuff type of cute. Idk why im explaining myself here lol. Conversations here at Viewnet got quota, they never exceed 3 seconds. Whereas All IT KLCC workers would converse with me, i feel like im talking to people with personality. Among themselves oso they can make jokes and have fun among themselves. When they speak, they r lively, got energy one, the mood is like happy. Complete opposite of those NPC in Viewnet. Conversation here is like unlimited data, theres always lively conversations around. They will give me more information as well. As i took multiple Grab rides to and fro, and going multiple stores today, my social needs bar filled up dy. Okay la overall still a fun day. Got 2nd vaccine and my speaker replaced without hassle. Overall day was kinda interesting and weirdly enjoyable cuz different than the norm. Thanks for reading all the way, thanks for coming to my TED talk. Bye bye and see u guys next time. *flies away* |

Hi guys, Anyone can recommend good PC speaker?
is Edifier S2000 MkIII latest model the sound crisp and clear ? how about the base sound? Existing i am using this Logitech Z623 2.1 Speaker System with THX Certified Audio for almost 10 years now.. the speaker kind of having hissing sound some time and noise.. i think is the capacitor bulging. I have the existing big subwoofer, so i thought buy the Edifier S2000 to replace the 2 speaker. Any recommendation? This post has been edited by edisoner90: Sep 11 2021, 02:10 AM |

You can't directly replace the logitech z623 satellites with another speaker since the volume is hardwired to it.is Edifier S2000 MkIII latest model the sound crisp and clear ? how about the base sound? You can go for S3000PRO for max performance or jump straight to Airpulse series into hifi series. |

There's a few AirPulse models, e.g. A80, A100, A300, A300 Pro.The A300 comes with 6.5" woofer, so you need to consider the size as well if you're gonna use it on desktop. The A80 and A100 are smaller. But then again, with 6.5" woofer, u probably don't need a subwoofer already. |

Hey guys, any differences between Edifier S350DB, S351DB and S360DB?
Any speakers from edifier supports USB drive for music playback besides the above? This post has been edited by FusionXY: Sep 13 2021, 04:34 PM |
