I'm washing car at outdoor mar. But it's from opposite + 5 houses away so I reckons it's really loud.
You can look for house installed with that brand, stand far away and compare.

but somehow, I went through the forum... I saw another post did mentioned inverter need to on up to 7-8 hours only consider is save cost on electricity bill.
whereby Non- Inverter is just on for a few hours like 2-3 hours... then it is just fine.

is this true?
*
my living room changed to 1.5hp inverter, after on 30mins already slow down compressor power, current draw from 4.3A reduce to 3.5A, another 1-2 hour 2.9A, minimum ever seen with compressor running 1.8A during mid night. we set temp 25'c varies blower fan speed depend condition. i would say inverter aggressively reduce compressor speed to save electricity.
previous daikin R32 and old toshiba 1.5hp non-inverter full time 4.3-4.5A same living room same mounting position.

This is cool... Not very expensive though the equipment...
But I still haven't figure out how to use it...
Got to pull out the wire from switch box? I am not familiar with wiring ... How?
*
normal usage doesn't require to do this, just install and use your aircond. i'm just sharing the savings observed.

ok...noted... Anyhow... I still need to check the main switch box of which is for my air cond switch .....
Yes normal usage... But somehow i still find it useful as we need to monitor the savings for the electricity usage

I modify it like this... Pic taken after running 30 mins with 1.5hp inverter.

Does anyone knows why the new r32 inverters are all only 4 star rating? is it because Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) is now more strict with the measurement or the airconds are not power efficient compared to R410a?

Most of the R410a are 5-stars rated, while the new R32 are all 4-stars rated from the ST stickers.
*
Nope, mine still 5 star for 1.5hp R32 inverter. What is the kWj rate on yours?

1.0hp inverter.

No wonder only 4 stars rating. 1hp already hitting borderline of 1000kwj. I remember I saw 740-800kWj somewhere for 5 stars 1.0hp inverter...

I am having a question here. I just serviced my room aircond and have a short chit chat with the technician.

I asked him, is it recommended to change my current non-inverter to Inverter with R32 gas?

He told me that like my case use non inverter will be good enough .. and inverter is actually the same in term of electricity saving...

1 more thing he mentioned that R32 is flammable... easy to cause fire up.

any comment?

All technician/aircond seller here will tell you non inverter is cooler and not much saving using inverter. You have to gauge on your own whether to listen to them or based on others published figure.

Hi, I think newer Panasonic Air Conditioner doesn't have Fan Mode. If I'm not mistaken.

My room air conditioner has fan mode but I'm using non-original remote as the original remote malfunction. The battery compartment there. The spring came out like very loose.

The technician recommended to check filter on weekly basis for dust.

Thanks.

At night especially after 11pm you can set your room temp to 30'c which the compressor wouldn't run unless the room is really hot till 30'c.
I'm practice this for my living room Panasonic every week, let it run for 15-30 mins before I off and go sleep.

the air cond guy that service my current air cond told me that panasonic air cond not good...
Reasons giving are below:
-Too much model launch in one time
-Spare parts stop production after 5 years
so the air cond if very good condition also maximum can tahan 5-8 years only.

They recommend me to take Acson or Daikin Inverter....
then the Daikin Model they offered to me is Inverter model FTK15Q with R410a gas.

which one to choose? very confuse.

Mr.D is national brand in Malaysia. Every aircond technician will recommend you this.
I throw away after 1 month of usage, too noisy and not as cold as the old 20 years old Toshiba it replaces. Lost money on this action but I'm satisfied with now the current aircond. Everyone said I'm mad but I just can't stand with that Mr.D

What brand are you using now?

Preferred not to... I have respect to their after sales as they tried to workaround fix my complains.
Currently using Mr. P inverter, remember I shows the ST energy saving sticker and my clamp meter reading few pages back.

Was your aircond guy wearing a "Daikin" t-shirt by any chance? smile.gif

This is a common story when you ask an aircond guy which aircond is best in the market.

Most likely the actual reason is he is an agent for Acson or Daikin and as such can get better wholesale prices for it or a better commission when he sells it to you.

You can still buy parts for a Panasonic that is more than 10 years old. Just because he can't find it or doesn't want to find it does not mean it no longer is available.

That's one reason why I always opt to buy appliances from an independent electrical shop rather than one of these types of  guys.
*
I think nowadays almost every aircond technician wearing Daikin T-shirt. Their brand presence and marketing is very very strong in Malaysia. No doubt same team from ex-York which implant the strong York branding to Malaysian during 2000-s.

Just an update, electricity bill drop by RM30. thumbup.gif

Changing the aircon was the best decision I made instead of keep troubleshooting the old aircon.

Lets see how as months go on.

need help! its possible to replace my old non-inverter a/c with new inverter a/c without adding an extra cable/wiring ? meaning just use back the existing 3 core wire......my contractor told me is doable.
*
If same horsepower usually will be reuse back same wiring from power point to indoor unit, while indoor unit supply to outdoor compressor usually they will change new wiring. That's my experience.

from my knowledge, inverter a/c needs a 4 core wire, correct me if I m wrong.

Why inverter requires 4 core? It's more energy saving compare to non inverter...

So I have been looking around for 0.75hp. Got one electrical shop tell me indonesia very popular. Malaysia don't have. I went to restaurant that have one really tiny aircon however they tell me few years old and they have forgotten where it comes from. So my question is for 0.75hp, got unit with condenser outside or all 0.75hp aircon windows units.

All I care for really is energy consunption. Tempted to just buy 1hp inverter unit at this point.
*
You mean the small cute Mitsubishi Heavy Industries series? Yeah, saw that on restaurant and 1 of the hotel I stayed, quite decent cooling and couldn't find outside. If you're keen perhaps you try to contact Trio Electric distributor for this MHI aircon.
