You set both in manual mode.
Up down and left right in manual

Btw you don’t want auto. The air vane forever be there.
Why will turning upwards and stop in 30mins then moving downward?
I think your unit auto swing motor got an issue.

Maybe you’re the older age person don’t understand the aircon work 🤣🤣🤣🤣
*
So you are Mitsubishi diehard fan and you are actually trolling because I bad mouth on Mitsubishi...

"Btw you don’t want auto. The air vane forever be there.

This is the feature from Mitsubishi because they kiasi on customer experiencing water dripping due to condensation.

I will re-quote again the statement from Mitsubishi owners manual.
"If the lower position is selected during COOL/DRY, the vane automatically moves to the upward position after 0.5 to 1 hour to prevent any condensation from dripping."

I think it's enough instead of we continue debating as you are ignoring the fact.

How to find this feature?
Your one is basic inverter model to me
*
Even the most basic JR non-inverter also come with this feature, don't believe? Go Mitsubishi Electric Malaysia download a copy of owners manual then.

Still don’t understand, why do you need this feature?
Is this can prevent on water leaking or condensation in future?
To me call aircon serving maintenance in every 3 months more helpful
*
So since when I do mention I want this annoying feature? I already mentioned many times this was annoying I want to bypass it but the Mitsubishi aircond came pre-programmed it.

I am setting the aircond in Manual position but the aircond decided to move itself blowing ceiling permanently after 30 mins which is annoying.

Doesn't matter fan speed high low, it will still move itself up

Have you call the technical support, is this common issue like that?
Mine don’t have such issue
*
Already seen people complaining this same thing at Mitsubishi Electric Malaysia Facebook previously, now they have removed those negative comments.

Sorry to say your model is already legacy outdated, thus you don't have this hard-coded feature. You may come Malaysia to purchase Mitsubishi Mr. Slim series for "tech refresh" for keeping up with real world experience, hahaha

I think he diehard until read also cannot understand..
Btw, jio solution might be the best to stop it form 'auto up'
Maybe u can just unplug the louvre motor cable.
*
Eh the unplug motor cable really is good idea leh, I doesn't require swing actually because not using for cooling the whole area, just want cooling our body only haha

Come Malaysia buy Mr. Slim series then. You are showing Singapore Starmax model which is non exists in Malaysia on Malaysia forum.

It's like I go Singapore HardwareZone forum keep promoting and talking about Proton cars and in denial mode when someone said his/her Proton car got issue. Syok sendiri I would say...

You guys talk only.
No video how to proof that the air vane got an issue?
*
Taking 30 mins video to wait the flap to blow upwards?
Next what? Waiting you to say take video + remote control for 30 mins to prove we didn't manually adjust it?
Following then you say this is good feature, just use remote control to adjust it downward is just a 3 sec job ma...

Even I as a third party reader also can see the issue here

They are complaining about a feature that Mitsubishi implemented. Its annoying hence an issue. Its in the owners manual. What is so hard to understand? Your aircond might not have the same feature / issue since its an older model, and the new one is not even sold in Msia

Mitsubishi pay you money for promoting their aircond or every aircond they sell?
*
I suspect he might be from Mitsubishi Electric APAC sales...
Been like watching him bad mouth others and promoting Mitsubishi to the sky.

1st pressed on power, already set in manual at 45 angle downward.
The air vane will turn into 45 angle downward or go upward directly?
*
45 deg downward.
After 30 mins it'll move 45 deg upward

Then I read the manual and found the term which we kept highlighting, hahaha.

Been watching this on Facebook and YouTube some people complaining this. This isn't a fault but a darn annoying feature by Mitsubishi Electric Mr. Slim

True bro, Even reading about it over and over from voscar and I'm not a Mitsubishi user, I already can understand the issue.
Finally, it took so many posts of the same thing for you to get it. Come to Malaysia, buy 1 unit of Mitsubishi Mr Slim and get real experience of it.
*
Lol, even explaining to my old age parents they understood much faster...

Just that every time it happened, my mother the first one sure cursing what's this stupid aircond then she will use remote control to set to down.. pity older people can't see the remote control's flap positioning clearly every time have to manual set it back downward

Physical inspection at the electrical panel @ IDU will reveal whether earth is connected on both terminals (good) or only one earth connected and one is left unconnected (not good)
*
Is this a myth inverter required 4 wires? My aircond after installed I found out they used 3 wires only and not connecting earth on the outdoor unit, the aircond installer reply me:
"Boss, you got refrigerant copper piping to indoor unit ma, any electrical leak will go back to indoor unit and earthing through the earth cable on indoor unit"

Was this true?

anyone here only use 1 unit 1hp mitsubishi inverter in their bedroom? not more than 1 aircond in the house..

how was ur electricity bill ? how was ur usage? daily how many hours? temperature setting how much?
*
I'm using Mitsubishi JS inverter 2hp at living room, daily 6 hours as I'm WFH especially hot weather. This was oversized after recently we installed a plastic curtain to block air free flowing to kitchen, so setting 30c silent mode fan speed is already over killed, managed to drop room temp from 32c to 27c which was cool enough for small living room, ampere hovering 2A at night to 4A during afternoon.

user posted image
Bill with 3 AC, 2 bedroom on 15 years old mitsubishi heavy industry 1hp, but we usually uses less than 30 mins to cool the bedroom then off and use stand fan.

The disadvantage of oversized AC I guess is hard to control the temp, set 30c it drops room temp to 27c, set 29c it drops to 26c, making hard to set properly the room temp. Or is this Mitsubishi thermostat not accurate?

In my case 9 hours night time, temp set to 23 😴
*
Your one Mitsubishi Electric Inverter? If set 23c what was your room temp? Can it drops to 20c or even lower? Coz my living room set 30c already drops to 27c which was cool, if set 28-29c it'll drops room temp to 25-26c already very cold for our liking.
