Walk in branch fill form and reduce.

I was offered the CIMB CR card few months back. The guy told me to email him my income documents. I did but receive SMS notification that it was rejected. Didn't bother much since I didn't really want the card then and hence didn't follow up.

Recently thought about it again and decided that I should just get it since it's kinda hassle free and I do spend quite a bit on online shopping. Tried submitted via CIMBClicks but for whatever reason didn't get thru and it keeps emailing me to complete my submission. Finally went to submit the application form and documents on 6/10 at Sunway Pyramid branch, got SMS notification to collect my card on 12/10 biggrin.gif

It is quite easy to get this card. laugh.gif

My experience - their CIMB Clicks system is messed up. I applied 2 weeks ago, no answer for a week, after a week I called them they said no application received so I applied again. This week I called again same answer so I marah the CS, she just said "oh, please pass me your application number" and then "please hold the line" then left me holding for 10+ minutes. I just hung up.

Emailed their CS complaining, within an hour some more senior sounding guy called and apologised, said that the online system cannot be accessed by CS at all so they really didn't know I had applied. Promised he'd get a marketing staff to call me ASAP, by that evening (3 hours later) she called di.

Until now I have no more news (2 days ago). See how la. Not impressed with CS so far.

Nah, not enough of credit limit.
Else you go and bank in that amount to this card via cash deposit to top up your limit. biggrin.gif

In that case, they should not keep on promoting and encouraging ppl to apply for credit card thru CIMBClicks system. Waste of time.

but then by doing so, there is no point of Easy Payment any more. You practically paid 2/3 of the price.

I can't use anything else other than viewing my credit card in their online portal, let alone apply for new card. All dropdown list kosong one.

So far CIMB offered best cashback for Agoda booking? or there is others bank credit which is better?
Noted on the cross border charges and found that most bank offered 5/7% rebate only.
Exclude shopback/etc ya...

Got a scam SMS this morning saying someone has used my CIMB cc to buy something worth 4k at KLIA2. Funny thing is I don't own a CIMB cc.

the SMS was from 63633, I always thought SMS from these numbers are legit. hmm.gif

I've got called from scam telling me my card was used at some jewelly shop in KLIA2.

And they can even quote my Real Name, IC and Card Number!
When I checked with CIMB CS, none from them.

So, please be careful.

I actually called the scammer phone number provided. I was directed to a chinese guy speaking malay straight away. i felt odd initially since i was not given any language option but i thought i must have pressed wrongly since i just woke up. then i asked the guy to transfer me to an english speaking operator but he told me they were all busy at that time and he could speak malay and chinese. i said nvm, will call back. then i called to the same number again and i realised there was really no language option and again i got to the same guy. i immediately put down the phone and called cimb hotline instead and was told it was a scam.
