I just noticed I paid the outstanding balance and not statement balance. doh.gif

God bless me, hope there is no interest charges.

But I'm willing to try once and see how it goes. laugh.gif

If it really happens, I will argue with the CS. tongue.gif

I didn't spend anything these few weeks.

So technically it only consists of my July statement + cash rebate. I thought we are not supposed to deduct out the cash rebate when making payment as there is a risk that it will be considered as short pay?

if your cb comes in after your statement out, you may just pay the balance after deducted with the cb.

Yeah, this is what I did for Maybank previously.

Somebody mentioned on this thread there is a risk it will be calculated as short pay by CIMB.

Did you apply at their card center?

If yes, you'll get your answer by 2-3 hours max.

Outstanding balance usually higher than statement balance.

Pretty sure you're not in any risk for penalty.

Heck, if everyone pays their outstanding instead of statement balance at every billing cycle, the bank would be happy tongue.gif

not necessary for a cash rebate card, sometimes the outstanding maybe higher due to the cash rebate that comes later than the statement biggrin.gif

You mean lower due to the cash rebate that's coming in the future izzit?

Because if it's higher, I'm still safe from interest tongue.gif

A lot of cards are better than CIMB CR and Maybank2Cards.

It depends on your usage. CIMB CR is mainly useful if you do a lot of online transactions. smile.gif
