Just want to share. I've been to Kota Kinabalu and Singapore last month and used my Nokia 5800 with Garmin there. It works fine, what is more insteresting is the cost of using A-GPS in Singapore.

My Line: Maxis
Maxis package: Value 80 (@RM84 per month).
Singapore line: StarHub
GPS Software: Garmin
A-GPS enabled: Yes
Days utilized: 2 days
Kb/used: 58kb
Cost: RM 6.80
Actual bill for last month: RM86.xx (only exceed my monthly committment by RM2, with numerous calls made/received while in Singapore and KK).

I can't wait for GPS lock as i'm totally lost in Singapore, so must enable A-GPS to get quick connection. I am quite suprised by the low cost of the A-GPS. I was afraid it would cost me international data roaming or something, but as it turns out, not too bad at all, only RM6.xx for 2.5 days usage!!! thumbup.gif

A-GPS data charges for local Malaysia is even much less. So for those who afraid of A-GPS charges, especially overseas, i think you can rest easy.

Anyone who has experienced using A-GPS in other countries, please share info on your data charges as well!

For Malaysia I think Garmin have the largest community for time being... Since currently most of the site offered Garmin map. And you can get updated for Garmin every week at MFM.

if you want to buy GPS, i recommend the one with touchscreen display, it'll make it easier modifying navigation setting while driving.
