I was thinking to switch over from maxis to celcom for the first basic 85 + mi4i. after reading this thread, I'm starting to have some reservations. I've been with maxis for around 2 years and somehow got into the one club.

Am I the only one having issues with Celcom when it comes to loading my Facebook app? It's fine when I use my WiFi. But when I switch back to data, it shows error, unable to load etc. Anyone else facing this issue?
*
i have the exact same problem
i never had this problem when i was on maxis (just switched to celcom last week)
to overcome this problem, i had to turn off mobile data and turn it back on to get my newsfeed (or anything else on my facebook app) to load

also, my celcom line will suddenly go off and turn to emergency calls only then back on again after 10-15 sec

Yes, you can do auto billing via its online. If you have registered for e-statement, there will be no charges for itemised billing unless you are asking for paper statement, then there will be RM 5 charges.

Mine on billing page shows "Enrolled for Tele Order" as No. Maybe you accidentally enrolled for it? I believe you can unsubscribe it via OSC.

With Celcom it is normal to turn mobile data off then back on

Maxis data is reliable. Seldom need to turn off at all.

Damn Digi keep givign me problems to port to Celcom.

Firstly, when i went Gardens to terminate my digi contract and paid rm50 fine, say within 30 mins will be done. but took 4~5 days after me constantly calling them up. When i went back Gardens only they do it properly, and it took less than 10 mins. WTF.

Then now i re-do my Celcom application to port in, and every thing accepted by Celcom. Now Digi having problems with their MNP and it seems a lot ppl having trouble with digi MNP side too. WTF betul..

Haih. Now already 15th. Just hope I will still get 3gb data once i successful since my application was done earlier..

Can't agree more on this but not really a big issue, just an annoyance.

Just switched my TuneTalk to this line.

So far so good. I did a comparative data speed test with SpeedTest app.
My iPhone 6 Plus on Maxis LTE (postpaid) line resulted in an average of 8mbps download / 5mbps upload, while my Nexus 6 on Celcom LTE line got 14mbps download / 0.05 mbps upload in the same location.

Download speeds seems very good, but upload speeds are really pathetic. Any idea? sweat.gif

Celcom's upload speed is never great (I usually get around 1-2mbps with LTE) but 0.05mbps is really slow. I guess you'll need help from their customer service. sweat.gif

There's not much of big issues with Celcom but people coming from Maxis definitely will feel the pain, based from my experience with Maxis I have to say their data network is still way ahead in Malaysia (talking about consistency).

I'm getting a lot more at my area(60dl/2up) and sometimes 6mbps for upload so probably u should go and ask CS about that.

I'm a bit fed up at its fast dormancy, it changes way too frequently(3g <-> H+ <-> 4g) causing a lot of battery drain doh.gif not to mention that when it changes, the internet stops so it causes some delay then only the loading of pages will start sweat.gif

Can confirm this.

Did speedtest on mom's new Celcom line. H+ DL speed around 6mbps upload around 1~2mbps only. But still happy with it. Cause Maxis in my area damn shitty line. My area Celcom>Digi>Maxis/Umobile

I can confirm that users in KL get shit reception, users in PJ and other parts of Klang Valley get good reception. So I either need to quit my job and find one not in KL, or change my Telco lol tongue.gif

But seriously, I now know of another person working in KL having shit Celcom service. I suspect it's because of network congestion?

I believe it's network congestion , I am getting like 40mb down /20mb up on LTE just now (Ampang area)

Is it normal to have slow upload speed for celcom ?
Maxis is much stable in network , since I just port over too

Yes Celcom usually have lower upload speed but 20mbps of upstream bandwidth that you got is definitely not low for Celcom's standard. laugh.gif
