Just received my RED K3 from Buydirect aka Mr. Loh last week. Despite having best discount & free gift in town, I am still getting superb service from Mr. Loh.
Really enjoy my ride back to melaka... my lowest fuel consumption achieved is 7.6L/100km which is not bad.
Many thanks for the compliments. Glad that you enjoy the ride and thank you for reporting on the fuel consumption.

Just send for the 10k service and SC told my battery is critical low. May I know which battery brand suit my cerato 2.0 the best? Thanks
Century is quite reliable. Ultimately, you need to look at the specs of the battery, it must be one that is specified / recommended for K3 2.0.
Anyone receive call from PJ Red Cube tyre mechanic asking for cash to change chamber?? Sent my car in for service and receive a call, he said if receipt required it will be charge GST but if pay cash directly then no need to charge. Even the receipt given is not issue by KIA but by his own sdn bhd? This sound very fishy and I wonder if anyone come across such before? Is this common in all other KIA service center?

Generally, most SC do not have their own tyre and wheel alignment facility and most, if not all, subcontract the task to nearby tyre shops. Maybe that helps to shed some lights into your question.
who is planning to change tyre and want to sell their stock tyre murah2 pm me, my dad use my car and hit divider, tyre koyak already....
A suggestion to save some money. Use the spare tyre that came with your car to replace the spoiled one and then get a second hand one which is still in good condition to be use as spare.

Planning to go to PJ Red Cube for my 20k service next week (currently still 13k only but already 6 months). Want to ask them to fix a few stuffs as the SC at Seri Kembangan is not able to do it. - creaking sound on dashboard, in between clock and lcd screen. Also some sounds at front passenger side, not sure near front speakers or B pillar. - driver seat starting to move around. - sound from the back when going on bumps with back passengers. - need to pull handbrake to the max, otherwise will have some sounds (not sure if this is normal).
Don't mind being recommended another SC also if they are able to solve these problems.
Is it recommended to do tyre alignment there also, or is better to do at other shops? If better to do outside, any recommended shops at Seri Kembangan area? Thanks!

I had two problems with my Kia Cerato, the first one is the battery. I bought the car on end of November 2014 but the battery died on me on early August 2015, so the battery failed in just 8 months. I called customer service on 6pm, they sent someone to help me jump start the car, so thumbs up for their customer service! I brought the car in the next day to PJ Red Cube, they replaced the battery for me, However, when I popped up my bonnet I found that they didn't close the "Positive terminal" cover at the battery compartment, it left me with very bad impression on PJ Red Cube service centre.
The second one is the "creaking" sound on my brake pedal. I had them to check on it, I left the car there while I headed back to work. When I collect the car on lunch time, the person on front desk told me that it's normal, that she compared with another car that was brought in, it had the same sound. I was dumb founded, that's pretty rubbish reasoning to be honest. But my guess is that, they didn't really understand what it meant by "creaking" and thought it as the "air pump" sound.
Anyone can recommend me a better service centre nearby PJ?
By the way, due to this battery incident I bought a RM24 battery analyzer from ACE hardware, it's just device to poke into the charger with several LED indicator, to my surprise, it indicated that my alternator is charging slower than "Normal", I don't exactly know what is classified as slower than "Normal" since it's just a bunch of LED without volt meter, etc. Should I be worry? Anyone has experience with bad alternator with Cerato? Thanks

I can help you with some questions.
- driver seat starting to move around. I wouldn't bet my money on this. I have sent to them twice and the problem is still there. Car is with them now for the third time and I hope they can fix it. - sound from the back when going on bumps with back passengers. - they can fix this but you'll probably have to leave your car with them for 1 - 2 days. While they were helping me to fix this, they also said that fender were giving out the nyek nyek noise.

A quick update on last Friday incident. I did not pay the tyre mechanic directly, he was waiting for me at the SC when I arrived. I requested to meet the SC Manager but he has already left for the day. I insisted an official invoice and they did that for me. The item stated in the invoice is 2 front camber skru for around RM127. Seriously, over th last 2 days I did not notice much of a different after SC replacing it. Lesson learned, my car is only 14 months old and mileage around 15,000km. It seem like the camber has a terrible short lifespam, even worse than my previous proton. Honestly, I felt cheated because the mechanic attempt to pocket the cash himself, when I realized and try to stop him from doing it which in less than 10mins, I was told is already done. Hence to all the KIA owner, I strongly suggest do not take the offer and get your car seek second opinion outside. Also, when I send in my car for service fuel consumption shows 10.8km/L, when I collect it it turns to 14.8km/L. I wonder if anyone else notice this or not because this show how they "test" and take "good" care of your car while sit in the SC huh. To bump from 10.8km/L to 14.8km/L takes a lot of aggressive driving style huh?

Thanks for sharing your experience . From the perspective of a SC, it is quite a difficult/catchy situation when it comes to advising owners on the need to do the wheel/tyre alignment and balancing. If the tyre set-up is no longer balanced/aligned, the wear will not be even, and may cause one side of the tyres to wear faster than the other, and as such, your tyres need to be replaced much faster than their expected shell life. Very often, the front tires are rotated to the rear tires at every 10,000 km and this is what the SC usually recommend owners to do. Ultimately, the owners can exercise his/her discretion since he/she is paying for it but it is the duty of the SC to advice the owners what is best for his/her car, it is not always a case of the SC trying to profit from the owner, generally speaking of course.
