The Kia Cerato continues to pick up accolades, earlier today at the 2018 Carlist Awards, a testament to its great Value.

Nope, mine was a 2013. Any issues back then have been rectified by now. Quite reliable so far. Maintenance cost is reasonable.

However FC on 100% city drive is a bit high. Like a proton.

Own 2013 1.6, engine gearbox aircon are reliable. All kia hyundai that recently using eps confirm will have steering coupler issues, that is just a small issue after few year of usage and can be settle for about 1-2 hundred depend on workshop.

Other issues is switch, like power window switch, steering volume button and search, signal light switch. My 2013 batch seems a bit fragile but after claim warantty the replacement seems to be better quality.

Maintenance and fuel just like a civic 2.0 and corrolla 2.0 even the cerato is 1.6. Don't expect the fuel consumption and maintenance to be like city and vios.

The thing that you may like or not like is the super soft suspension. I got chance to drive the new corolla with Socar car rental, manage to drive for about 60km using my usual route. Surprisingly corolla that famous with comfort are not really comfort actually. Cerato has more softer suspension than corolla and it can pass through speedbump with no scrubbing undercarrige without really need to slowdown like my cerato. If you like a car that ride like a sofa then you are good to go.
Civic fb = medium
Corolla/sylphy = soft
Cerato/elantra md = super soft

Depends on how extensive the damage is. If it is just scratches and minor dents, just send to a workshop to patch up and spray-paint.

Checking with workshop too.

The kia SC quoted 1200 without labour and painting.
580 is fixing and painting.

Another guy quoted 700 for bumper.

I did all of that for around RM 5K after discount. nod.gif yes, i ask the KIA Sales Advisor (SA) to do it, tint is raytech, nano coating from revivify and leather seat i forgot what's the company name.

I change because the Honda SA said he can get a ready stock car for me, but after loan has approved and all, still no news for the City Hybrid that i have booked. Coincidentally KIA is having promotion for the Cerato, thus the reason why i go grab it since they have ready stock for the car.

Definitely a good choice since the difference is night & day. I already owned a 2015 pre-facelift Honda City actually, so yeah the Cerato wins in every aspect in comparison.  thumbup.gif

Hi. How is the fuel consumption on your cerato? Planning to get the cerato for my mom since it has high rebate now. However my mom greatest concern is the fuel consumption, she actually wanted to get honda city coz of it’s great fuel consumption (i owned a city). Just considering whether there’s not much different for the FC on the City and Cerato
