Hi all, planning to get a second hand kia cerato. Would like to ask fellow owners here, how is the FC like and do you all face any major problems with the car? Also is it advisable to get the 1.6 or 2.0 if FC is my concern?
*
I have a 2013 Cerato 1.6

My wife drive it to work can get about 10km/l for 100% city drive. she's a heavy footer sweat.gif

Fair enough. I guess it's case by case basis. Thanks for your input thou. Bnn

After sales have definitely improved. So far I never faced any alarming issues when I went to official SC for service. They even provide me replacement car if my car have to leave at the SC.

Kia spare parts can be easily found at Kia auto part suppliers at Jalan Segambut.

Interested with K3 1.6, for owners here.. any prominent issues with the car so far? is it reliable?
*
Nope, mine was a 2013. Any issues back then have been rectified by now. Quite reliable so far. Maintenance cost is reasonable.

However FC on 100% city drive is a bit high. Like a proton.

FC Honda City win hands down. But the driving experience and all is difference since its a different segment. Hehe. If FC is your main concern then get the City, but if you want more space get the Cerato. nod.gif

Whats the rebate like nowadays? OTR car price?
*
Correct. FC of the 1.6 Cerato is similar with any Proton cars with 1.6 campro engine.

However, the refinement & NVH levels of the Cerato is way better than the City.

Yes. How is the FC? And will it feel underpowered with 1.6L?
Quite tempting with the price and 5 years unlimited mileage warranty.
*
I own the 2013 1.6 SX model. FC is comparable to proton 1.6 liter engine cars.

It does not feel underpowered at all when you use the paddle shifters.

For me it is acceptable.

Thanks for the feedback.
How is the reliability and maintenance cost after 5 years?
Browsed thru the thread and some complained rattling dashboard, steering problem, radio reception not clear, etc. Are those issues still occur for current latest batch?
How about the maintenance & spare parts availability after 5 years warranty coverage? There are mix comments that expensive and affordable.
*
Maintenance cost is reasonable for me.

I've never faced any of those issues you've mentioned.

Till today I still send my car for servicing at Kia glenmarie.

However, if you want to go somewhere else after warranty period ends, you can get Kia spare parts at Segambut.

Have you tried contacting Kia Power Auto Parts at Jalan Segambut?
Alternatively you can also contact Express Mobis located within the same area

Hi, anyone here has the list of service centers? I ask because my regular SC said they no more dealer for KIA and ask me go elsewhere since my car still under warranty.
I searched the KIA website but they don't have a list of service centers sad.gif

Kia Glenmarie & JD automotive in Shah Alam. The latter is located beside KESAS.
