Hi all, anyone has a similar problem?

The driver side AC vent in my Cerato 1.6 keeps venting out hot air. Only when I set the temperature to 20 degrees C does it vent cold air.

The SC is charging me RM350 to inspect , while repair estimate was in high hundreds to thousands

Well, car is ready stock. During the time i go to Kia, my loan has actually been approved by the bank for Honda City. So it doesnt take long for the SA to change my request from City to Cerato. I would say i took around 2 weeks or so to get the car, but that is because i wanted a specific plate number and thus the waiting time. And also i did tinted, leather seat and coating that also take another 3 more days. So yeah, should be ready stock. smile.gif

i see, thnx for the reply smile.gif

btw, how much is your tint+leather seat+coating? is the coating glass coating? did you do it with KIA?

and also, that makes you wanna change from city to cerato?

Sry for so much questions tongue.gif

thnx in advance!

I did all of that for around RM 5K after discount. nod.gif yes, i ask the KIA Sales Advisor (SA) to do it, tint is raytech, nano coating from revivify and leather seat i forgot what's the company name.

I change because the Honda SA said he can get a ready stock car for me, but after loan has approved and all, still no news for the City Hybrid that i have booked. Coincidentally KIA is having promotion for the Cerato, thus the reason why i go grab it since they have ready stock for the car.

Definitely a good choice since the difference is night & day. I already owned a 2015 pre-facelift Honda City actually, so yeah the Cerato wins in every aspect in comparison. thumbup.gif

Good to hear your review of the Cerato , especially coming from an existing Honda City owner. However, the sad fact is that many Malaysian buyers are still strongly attached to the brand, rather than the specs & features.

Anyone here installed Miracast to A/V into older Kia Cerato head unit? Something like the link: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/ybc-car-...s561682684.html

how often do u change ur tyres? yearly ? or 2-3 yrs? 4yrs? if 3+ yrs then dont bother. maintain as stock.
also if u change ur rims, u need to check if the disc brake calipers can fit with smaller rim. cause if the disc brake calipers r big, u still need a bigger rim for that gap between wheel n brake caliper

based on current millage, since the car birth till now, approx 2 yrs, only reach 30k.
the stock tyre sudah botak, so wanted to go n change tyre. my fren was saying that smaller rim, tyre is cheaper and my car would fit. not sure about the disc break.

The smallest rims that cerato can take is 15". Im using 15 because i want the car to be most comfortable. Cerato suspension also tuned to be comfort oriented than handling, so thicker tyre really match with the car characteristics.

for 2.0 Cerato..
My wife travel to work lalu jalan kampung & PLUS highway got 7.4L/100km..
averaging 60-80kmh for jalan kampung and 120-140 kmh for highway
*
that is very low. My 2.0 > Most driving on short trip, less highway, always above 9.0, is that normal?

Hi guys, it has been a while since i last posted..
My car is almost two years now, been a hassle-free car i would say..

But just recently i noticed that the steering feels 'loose', seems like there is a half inch, an interplay when i turn the steering..is it a safety concern? Any idea how to fix it?
