CFA is really a professional paper whereby each and every single little tiny bits of details you also have to know. I'm starting to feel worried for my December Level 1 exam now.

Nope, there will not be any assessment before enrolment but your degree certificate is needed. (Note: if you just finish your degree recently, can tell them you will give it to them later) I'm taking weekend classes in Sunway. Good luck to you This post has been edited by zhan: Sep 7 2011, 08:57 PM |

That's the recommended study schedule but it differs by individuals. By the looks of it, you will have difficulties finishing off everything before exam. Better concentrate in class and work harder. How on earth I'm going to finish everything by end of October. I'm screwed |

hi all,
I'm considering to take up CFA exam in June 2012. My worry is that I'm a Marketing Degree Grad with 5 years of sales position work experience. Without any foundation in Finance, will it be too ambitious to consider CFA? Altho I'm willing to learn from scratch but does the reading material covers basic knowledge? I'm afraid that they use a lot of jargons which will make my study a lot tougher. |

And since you are sitting for the June 2012, there is still a lot of time for you to be studying. People usually take around 250 hours, so you should arrange your schedule in accordance to that and there shouldn't be a problem in passing at least the first level. There are jargons but most is already explained in the book while some you might have to find out about the meaning yourself, such as finance terms like securitization, etc.... |

Yes, I'm too afraid it'll be super tough so I rather give more time by taking the June 2012 exam. Meanwhile I must continue working for my income. So I'm doing it as part timer. Not sure if it's better to also attend classes since I may have more questions to ask. Any recommendation which college provides the best guidance to beginner like me?And since you are sitting for the June 2012, there is still a lot of time for you to be studying. Hey guys,
Recently I have been hearing a lot of good things about Noesis in offering the CFA programme. Besides normal classes, i heard they are offering career advice as well some personal development courses. Found this link about the Investment Industry Career Panel and CFA Workshop - https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=199873776747458 sounds interesting. Is it worth going? Of course will consider taking up the programme with them. This post has been edited by cheekymonkey: Oct 8 2011, 04:46 PM |
