You can actually check out the fees at the CFA website itself. All are in USD, it includes the textbooks.
*
Yup, actually I have went to the website. It stated $1175 for level 1, 2, 3 & stated $420 is for first initial registration as member. Does that means (1175-420) x 3 = will get the total sum for the entire course?

How about the yearly subscription of being a CFA members?

I have decided to sit for level 1 exam in Dec. smile.gif Hopefully it's never too late for the decision to be made. I have no financial & accounting related knowledge; hopefully I'm still able to cope well & wont let go easily.

What did you major in, if you don't mind me asking? All the best to you.
Something interest to note is December exams usually have a lower passing rate compared to June but as long as you work hard, you should be in the passing group. =)
*
I'm majoring in Marketing, more of a business background. Thanks!

Really have a lower passing rate? Sigh, I am kind of worried. Anyway, I am signing up weekend classes for my level 1. Hopefully it does help.

How's everyone preparation for the December exam? I'm just about to start & I'm thinking to start a FB group. Maybe all December Level 1 candidates to share, to ask or to interact and learn from each other.

Guys, does Kasturi help us to pay for registration and exam or need to by our self?
Anyone enrolled for nx june paper? When is the class at Kasturi starting for June 2012 batch?
*
I am not Kasturi's student but I don't think Kasturi is able to register the exam for you. You can only do it by yourself as Sunway told me that CFA does not permit tuition provider register on behalf of student. They can only register by themselves. smile.gif

CFA is really a professional paper whereby each and every single little tiny bits of details you also have to know. I'm starting to feel worried for my December Level 1 exam now.

Still got 3 more months to go. You should finish reading everything by end of October and start revising in November.
*
I just got all my study materials like 2 weeks ago & I have been real busy running around; not yet started.

How on earth I'm going to finish everything by end of October. shocking.gif

I'm screwed

r u self study or taking classes at sunway?

I am going to pay for my enrolment and exam fees this weekend. Pay by credit card rite, and got any assessment before we enrol?
*
But the classes in Sunway already started. And, no they don't accept credit card. It's only cash/cheque.

Nope, there will not be any assessment before enrolment but your degree certificate is needed. (Note: if you just finish your degree recently, can tell them you will give it to them later)

I'm taking weekend classes in Sunway.

Good luck to you

Perhaps you had misunderstand my question. I mean payment to cfa not sunway/kasturi.
cheque/cash? do u think I still can made the payment before their first deadline 21st sept?

Send cheque to US?

Sorry for asking it here cox i cant check their website it seems down or server busy
*
rclxub.gif Yea sorry I misunderstood your question.

You can only use Credit Card to register CFA examination. (I'm not sure about other medium but I used Credit Card)

Well, of course you can. But you better consider properly before sign up because if you do not have time to finish everything (like me now doh.gif) then it'll be wasted.

Just a friendly reminder. smile.gif End of the day, decision is on your hand k

Maybe you should plan your next move. To re-sit Dec 2012 or Jun 2013?
