if u r using unifi and want to use the hyptv apps, yes. lan port of the box is dedicated for hyptv apps. need to connect to router lan port 4.
if u r using streamyx, then should be ok.
Hypptv app need lan port? Not WiFi?
The Lan port you referring to is the one behind the STB box?

yes. unifi user need to use lan cable in order to watch hyptv. router port 4 is dedicated to hyptv. if just want to watch utube, showbox, kodi etc can just use WiFi. or can also plug the lan to other then port 4.
Hyptv everywhere no need dedicated lan.

i did mentioned..
Hyptv Everywhere can be used everywhere. No such thing as dedicated lan.
Only if wanna use hyptv set top box to watch hyptv(not hyptv everywhere) , yes, unifi user need to use dedicated lan port. Streamyx user no issue.

I think there's a guide in this thread. Well, you can share and if it's too much I will just hide it. No issue of posting external link.

Honestly this didn't work on me. So, I factory reset it and everything works well after that.
Maintenance code is 3008.
