Should be able to do so. I just did it last week. Box year 2016 according to the sticker at the bottom of the box.
1) call TM for the hyptv ID for login later
2) reset factory setting
3) enable wifi
4) try to login to playstore
5) if ok, then install what ever apps u want. if u want to sideload, just install ES explorer
6) launch hyptv apps, login using the ID retrieved in step (1)

p/s: reset factory setting will help to settle lots of issue. this is based on my experience helping friends/relatives.

The new hyptv box also comes with optical/spdif output port. U can also use the provided AV cable, plug in to the box AV out.. connect red/white cable to ur HT.

if u r a subscriber of any hyptv package, u shld also have hyptv everywhere access.

you can only install hyptv everywhere apps (playstore or appstore) or access via web browser eg chrome for pc /mac.

the same apps installed on HyppTV unifi set top box is not available for other devices.

exactly correct bos. they only way to watch the hyptv channel on other devices is using hyptv everywhere apk. some devices might say not compatible in playstore, just sideload it.

Hyptv white box is one of the good android set top box. The minus point is the small storage only. For me, i have bunch of apps installed. Good enough for me to cut the 'cable'...

no need for popcorn. use showbox. pic quality up to 720p. or can just do kodi..

if u r using unifi and want to use the hyptv apps, yes. lan port of the box is dedicated for hyptv apps. need to connect to router lan port 4.

if u r using streamyx, then should be ok.

yes. unifi user need to use lan cable in order to watch hyptv. router port 4 is dedicated to hyptv. if just want to watch utube, showbox, kodi etc can just use WiFi. or can also plug the lan to other then port 4.

Hyptv everywhere no need dedicated lan.

Hyptv Everywhere can be used everywhere. No such thing as dedicated lan.

Only if wanna use hyptv set top box to watch hyptv(not hyptv everywhere) , yes, unifi user need to use dedicated lan port. Streamyx user no issue.
