I am also using this unifi box.

I connect this box to my tv and configured the tv to pass through Dolby digital to my sound bar which has a Dolby decoder.

Do you know where can I find Dolby Digital movies? Are you using Kodi? Which add on? Any extra configuration needed on this box to pass through Dolby?

Being able to play content with surround audio does not equal that the box outputs said surround sound. That's just the media player working overtime and probably on software decoding mode... AFAIK, this device does not support any surround sound pass-through features..

There's a dedicated Kodi thread.. Start from page one and read your way through..

No sure y unifi tvbox no tat consistent. Hdkan and terrarium always failed. Can i reset my tvbox n do the third party app installation again lol

Yep... You can reset the box and reinstall apps.

Does this STB have samba access?

Haven't tested it myself but it's a fundamental feature and should be supported. Give it a go.

Need more info.. Doing what? Did what? How?

Tried it, don't have.

The setting are hidden but you can access through KODI. go to program>android apps>setting>samba.

Just to take note. It can only access to the stimulate storage.

That's another way to do samba/NAS with these STB & USB drive that you plug into. go to playstore and look for Servers Ultimate. the apps has feature to shared NAS.

Yes, provided you have the appropriate login info and comfortable setting back up yourself. If all goes haywire, can always request for a TM technician to come over.. You may be charged an additional fee.

1.Save the file into your pendrive
2.Press the power button behind the HyppTV STB and plug in the pendrive. (Remember to leave the power supply unit on. DO NOT TURN THE SWITCH OFF)
3.Press the power button to switch your HyppTV STB on and press the red color power button continuously until you see a black background (Recovery mode)
4. Enter code: 304830
5. Select update from external storage and select the file you have downloaded.
6.Wait until it reboots and unplug the RJ45 LAN cable immediately. (Do not connect your HyppTV STB to your router)
7.Go to settings, system upgrade. Enter code 3008 and delete the server address and click confirm (make sure the Update Now is not ticked.
8. Go to date and time and go to NTP Server address remove it and change to 128.199.84.169 (Just enter code 3008 if it is asking for the code)
9. Plug the RJ45 cable back and connect it to WiFi so that you can watch your HyppTV channels and also watch third party movies or channels.
10. Press the power button behind the box twice to restart your HyppTV STB.
11. Enjoy!!
