Base on my 4 months usage of this card.. i calculate back.. the effective cash back is only 6.2% for me.. wacko.gif

i cant really make sure my card swept at exactly 1000 per months.. sometime more, sometime less.. in conclusion, i only get 6.2% after minus off 13 every month for the 160 annual fee..

so i assume total spending of RM995 can entitle for RM100 cash back.

not that straightforward actually. in order to achieve that, you must separate your expenses into 3 categories and save rm5 expenses per category. for eg, spend rm325, rm325, rm335 to get rm33, rm33, rm34 cb respectively.

if you only utilising 2 categories, you can only save rm10 expenses = rm990. if only 1 category utilised, rm995 max.

don't actually understand.

for example, why can't i pay utility RM50X10. and balance i pay say mobile RM495X1 to achieve total RM995? which means cashback RM100?

Cat BRM 335RM 34
TotalRM 985RM 100

That means, spend a cumulative total of RM985 to achieve RM100 cashback, effective rate is about 10.15%  thumbup.gif

i've simulated the calculation (on paper), you need to all 3 categories to achieve highest cashback rate with the lowest spending  sweat.gif

My laziness to do the summation of the 3 categories. So I just take it as can get full rebates as I more than 985. tongue.gif

This month over shoot by 120 because my auto debit celcom delayed by 2 weeks n then suddenly yesterday debited me. vmad.gif why not delay till next week.

You need to play with the rounding up decimal to get that, so you need to have rm*5 for the 3 categories.

Not really, you need to spend on 3 categories to make this happens.

MaxisPay minimum spending is rm35 while the rest you can swipe as minimum as rm5 as long as merchants never put minimum spending amount.
