HL Fortune vs HL Essential? Which is better in your opinion? Both will get 1% rebate but for fortune it can be use for petrol transactions. Any cons for the fortune card?

*found my answer. fortune only limited to RM50 rebate/month and need to spend a minimum of rm1k to get the rebate whereas essential only need to spend a minimum of rm100 a month to qualify for unlimited rebate.

no need.

just make separate, RM50 payment, each time concluded with TAC.

rinse and repeat.

I wonder if it matters if I use a different phone number to register for the 30% weekend cash back since it doesn't ask for phone that I usually receive the TAC.

i think maybe it does matter. because you can't activate your cc with a phone which is not registered in the form when you apply for the cc. but not sure whether the same applies to this 30% campaign.

my phone got barred for not paying my outstanding bill, so i can't sms to register for the contest. so i plan to use another phone to register and then later today pay my phone bill 3x for the contest.

you may try but i think you will receive a reply sms saying that it's unsuccessful.

when you sms, you don't have to key in cc number right? so how are they going to link your unregistered phone number with your cc number?

anyway, i still don't think it's so important to swipe 3x on early weekdays. more important is the weekend transaction must be early. unless the cb allocation is finishing and there were many swiped at the same time on that weekend, so they have to use the weekdays 3x transactions to judge. so after you paid and unbar your phone only join is still not too late.

For post paid, you can actually call for getting extended period up to last day of the month. When on the last day of a month, call them again to extend it to another 1-2 days. Maxis allows me to do so.
But before you do this, make sure you are getting average of -rm** average.
This is how I made rm7++ direct to Maxis
You may give a try today and ask for the extension. But make sure you do the payment once you registered for this.

i just tried for fun with my other phone and it says successful registration.

to register for the contest, need to type W1/W2/W3/W4<space>16 digits of CC number, so yeah they don't know which phone but they know your card.

it's not about early or not, it's about me not able to submit my SMS since my line is barred.

should have read your reply before I tried, din't know can call to extend...

I think now you still can try. Just tell them your story(on getting cash back) and see if they allow you or not?

If register using another number, then no need already.
But next time when you need to do something(can't pay on time), always call them to extend the period.

haha not sure i can also coz i always pay late since previously i only own mb2cards and to maximise my rebate, sometimes i pay sometimes 2 months i nvr pay...

Now with this STUPID card, you can always pay on time. My Maxis account always ending up with -rm** as this is the buffer for me to get rm100 of cash back monthly
If you are swiping 3 categories, just spend rm985 in total to get rm100

and also try to swipe on mon - wed, avoid potential late posting if we swipe on thurs and fri

also, i registered the campaign by replying to the sms i received (sms blast from HL) with "WW" and they sent a confirmation sms soon after, informing that my registration is successful
