Not sure abt Clarkconnect, but in ipcop thr's a menu or page dedicated for syncing dynamic ips, adding host, and bla bla bla...
just look around. smile.gif

Just buy a wireless router or WAP and connect it to ur third NIC and it wud be called the BLUE network.
Or if u wan to get ur hand dirty doh.gif and your card support hostap, it can be converted to Access Point.
http://hostap.epitest.fi/
As for me, i wud just buy a WAP or wireless router. icon_idea.gif

anyway, lately I've been playing wif these monitoring tools lately.

hey guys, i'm trying out the pfsense now and i got a problem here..My AM300 modem configure as bridge mode only and DHCP off. i dunno y my PPPoE cannot connect in pfsense. What is the problem here? Try modem in router mode and DHCP on, pfsense WAN use DHCP also no luck!

AM300 modem --> WAN
PC--> Switch ---> LAN

Have you tried to re-burn the ISO and try again? I faced this problem before and it's caused by poor quality of the media, burning at a slower speed usually helps smile.gif

re-install your pfsense and try again, this time, unplug and re-plug your network card on a different slot, my clarkconnect also faced the same problem initially, couldn't even detect the interface! laugh.gif re-seating them solved that problem smile.gif

You'll need at least 2 NIC to convert a computer to a router.
To connect to 3 PCs, add a switch in between

modem==> p2(router) ===> switch====>pc

Performance wise..dunno ler..my still can't surf net after long overnite BT session with or w/o the traffic shaper (pfsense show around 4500 state...I'm still exploring the traffic shaper option) hmm.gif Dunno whether is my pc problem...after restart pc can surf net oredi. I never restart the pfsense box except i reset the state.

Do u know the traffic shaper optimum setting for 1MB line/ BT/ surf net? Pls let me know any other tips and trick if u know any smile.gif I was busy painting my house, no time to really test or configure it properly. Tomorrow i should some time to visit the forum or testing the pfsense options.

If u r using/ testing pfsense..pls remember that cheap NIC is not recommended smile.gif Try to get 3com 3c905 or Intel pro 100 or higher NIC. (this 2 NIC support ALTQ feature = QoS) Pls google for more info on NIC that support ALTQ in FreeBSD.

can we integrate adsl modem with it?...
i mean is there any DIY solution for adsl modem?.. smile.gif

[edited]
just found.. we need to add on this device isnt it?..
http://www.traverse.com.au/productview.do?product_id=21
http://www.dsl-warehouse.co.uk/product.asp?pr=DSL-W3805

so one can throw away their adsl modem already to cut down the electricity cost..

i see, it might be due to the fact that ur RAM is not enuf. As u know, BT is godly that uses any maximum connection possible for the sake of downloading and uploading. . Dead connections arent removed, and new connection are added. Your state table gets bloated. I think u might hav to refer to this link for a short term solution. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...dpost&p=9007281

Actually kan, most NICs out thr in the market would do. and the Qos is controlled by linux.

yup, you'll need a PCI dsl modem for that.
unfortunately PCI dsl modem or internal dsl modem is not popular in M'sia, hard to find one,
i bet when u ask those noobs working lowyat shop abt a PCI dsl modem, they sure shoot u back with ignorant high tone stating that no such things, and they think u are noob. LOL back on them tongue.gif
