hey guys, I am looking for 34" monitor for working purposes (programming), but non media production related. Budget preferably below 3k.

I found this dell s-series monitor, and it's VA panel. Wondering if Va panel really inferior to IPS, but this has 100hz refresh rate?
Can I get some opinions on this, or if there are better monitors out there?

thanks.

For working purposes, please don't get VA, VA had bad viewing angle and not suitable for screen sharing when needed, it is might impact to color output, beside this most VA panel had black smearing and ghosting.

Don’t ever take a VA panel. You will regret. IPS much better, eye comfort better.

I suggest you just buy a USB-C (thunderbolt 4) to HDMI 2.1 cable - around RM 220.00.
You will limit a lot of choices if USB-C is a requirement.

Just search 34" IPS at lazada or shopee.
https://shopee.com.my/search?keyword=34%22%20ips

Example:
- Gigabyte M34WQ
- Dell P3421W
- Dell UltraSharp 34 WQHD IPS Curved LED Monitor - U3415W (no USB-C)

I am using Promate 8K @60Hz USB-C to HDMI Cable and no issue running 4K 120hz.

Ya a usb c monitor in my budget seems rather limited. Maybe i really should expand to non usb c monitor, thanks for all the recommendations.
Maybe 1 last thing. From your experience with huge monitor, is curve monitor better for my usage? 34" is quite wide, just dunno the distortion near the edge is very bad?
My usage would be sitting right in front monitor typing and coding.
