Yea I agree, but I don't think there is a good wireless TKL mechanical keyboard at the moment. Suggest me if you know any  biggrin.gif

I was using Drevo calibur ( BT TKL ) although 99.99% of time connected via cable.
Recently just got Magicforce Smart2 from shopee

I think ducky also making, or you can get expensive custom one from drop.com ( last time called massdrop ) biggrin.gif

hey guys,
would need some help to recommend 34 inch ultrawide monitor that look good with  RX 5700 xt.  budget around 4k
*
should be a lot of option.
Since using Radeon graphic card, if no plan to change to nVidia ( and stick to green camp for long time ), you can save some money by buying non G-sync ultrawide.
Mostly G-sync ultrawide around or more than rm4k

any good recommendation ? after reading all those reviews, make me more blur ..... dont know should go for which
*
Well, I'm using Predator X34, would recommend it, if you dont need G-sync, can get cheaper version ( non Predator version, forgot the model ).
I think can recommend Dell ultrasharp series also, I got quite old 23" ultrasharp which is still nice.

I have 2 x 27" dell uhd 1440p monitor. If I change to one wide-screen moni8, will I see the benefits? Aside from no bezel in the centre. I use the different monitors to snap windows into place
*
Movie experience biggrin.gif Cinema movies are in 21:9 which is most ultrawide's display ratio.
Gaming experience also different, racing and FPS in ultrawide is just so nice.

Oh wow, this IKBC keyboard looks good, fit my use case exactly. I am surprise I never heard of it until now. I was hoping it can be charge via the USB-C cable, but I guess AAA batteries works too. Going to start the research rabbit hole again, thanks for the recommendation.
I don't see a TKL keyboard from Drevo? I only saw the 71 keys Calibur, am hoping a more conventional TKL keyboard  tongue.gif

Yeah, calibur is 71 keys keyboard, I still called it TKL la

otai otai...

Couple questions. (I looked through YouTube / google and this thread. not all answers my question)

1) 34in curve vs non-curve
--> Feedback?Just how significant is the impact of the curve? Head turn left / right to see the windows placed on the extreme right/left of the monitor? eg: YouTube video (lesson) extreme left and following it w a window right in front.

2) 34in vs 49in
--> 49in looks so yummy. (I am looking at the Acer 49in. Resolution is not too great tho at 3xxx * 1080

Finally - Acer monitor - reliable ah?
*
Hahaha those are exaggerating. I think depends on how close you sit or your eyes are from monitor itself.

I upgraded to larger ( deeper ) table, external monitor arm, just to move my 34" far away from my optimum seating position.
When you sit near center, and monitor facing you at right angle, you dont notice the curve at all.

That's the purpose of curve actually. Without the slight curvature, the extreme edge of your ultra wide monitor will appear distorted.

ooo.. that's what the "R" in 2300R means. I kept seeing 1800R and this R that R in reviews I read but dunno what it meant.

2.3m or 1.8m as the best distance. I need to take out my tape measure. 1.8m is like taller than me distance wise.
*
Not that extreme thou. My predator x34, I sit 80-90-CM away from it, quite nice for me.

Hi all,

Need feedback. I use 2x27" dell UHD monitors at work + 24" 1090p monitor if needed. Now, since this MCO, I've been told that I cannot go to the office. Only when necessary.

Tak tahan buat kerja on 13" laptop Asus and a new dell g3. What is the cheapest option of replicating this setup. I just need a a computer to drive the monitors. My work pc has gtx 770 and 780. I need equivalent performance. I just got a dell g3 laptop which I can hook it up. It comes with a gtx 1650.

I am not sure if I should invest in a uhd monitor or not. I have a spare 24" monitor at home. I guess I can make do with that for dual screen setup.

What is the cheapest ultrawide 1440p monitor?
*
My bro is programmer, he used to have two 40" TV as monitor biggrin.gif
Not sure fit your usage or not. Largely depends on space of your table also. 40" TV are cheap alternative, for price/size ratio tongue.gif

I do support buy ultrawide monitor la, I love how useful it is for those multi tasking type. Whilst I type this, I got youtube playing side-by-side. The contrast and sharpness etc, are suitable for computer. TV usually not design for close distance viewing.

torn between LG 34UC79G and Acer Nitro XV340CKP..

both sub RM2K monitors.

wanna use for gaming (even though i doubt RX580 can push past 100 fps at all time while playing gta v at mid to high settings)

pls share ur opinion on this, thanks guys
*
Donno if all owner/user feel the same or not. But you no need to die-die want 100fps
I prefer quality over frame ( as long not too low, like 40fps ).

QUOTE(lOrDjAbU @ Jun 6 2020, 12:01 AM)
why would you buy LG instead of Acer?

it looks like Acer one is better on specs sheet. 1440p, 1 ms response time (non hack-ish one like LG), support gsync, support hdr10, so many ports (2 hdmi, 2 DP, audio out, USB 3.0 x2), got built in speakers, and most importantly about RM150 cheaper than LG one.

it looks like i kinda answered my own question though.. lol

but still i would like to know why anyone would choose LG over Acer? (that specific models that im comparing okay, not the general brand)
*
That model not G-sync yo. Predator x34 series only is g-sync.

While I dont have preferences. I would guess many prefer LG because of brand. More premium brand compare to Acer, LG also make display panel themselves, thus in theory better at making monitor.

hello any recommendations for 1440p UltraWide 144Hz IPS panel? i am eyeing on the Acer XV340CKP solely for the price, and i guess this is the only cheaper model money can buy. i intend to use it on my yet to build gaming pc with intended RTX2080 GPU. I saw from review that this Freesync monitor can also support G-Sync rite just to confirm?

LG is nice but i dunno why they are so much more expensive than this Acer.
*
Cant be sure on above model.

Usually it's the other way round. Native G-sync monitor usually support Freesync also. G-sync monitor usually have tighter QC and h/w spec ( well, according to nVidia )

running 60fps game on 144hz monitor

running 60fps game on 60hz monitor

sweat.gif

No differences tongue.gif 60fps is 60fps

I think G-sync ( maybe Free-sync, not sure as not using before ) helps a little, if games performance dip to 40fps etc. Felt less laggy or delay, although still showing 40fps.

Never an issue for me. Most of games I play ( not even latest ) only reached 70fps or lower ( damn it Ashes Of Singularity ).
Ultrawide monitor = long term investment
I think all monitor are long term, as you hardly upgrade/change for few years.

QUOTE(uniquexme @ Jun 23 2020, 10:49 AM)
I am having really a hard time finding a suitable gaming monitor and researching on YouTube also doesn’t seems to help as either those recommended ones are super expensive or not available in Malaysia. Since this will be my first gaming pc build, its rather difficult for someone who has very little knowledge on pc. Initially wanted the BenQ EX2710Q 1440p IPS 144hz monitor but keep seeing other ultrawide 1440p seems look better and more view for gaming. That’s y I keep holding on the build hoping to find a suitable display. Then lately rumors on the new RTX 3080 launching in Sep. do u guys think when launched either the RTX 2080 super / Ti will drop price or the 3080 will be affordable? I still can’t decide VA or IPS, but I think safest bet would be IPS rite? My budget for a 34” ultrawide would be around RM3500-4000. So if anyone would be kind enough to provide some recommendations will be nice. icon_idea.gif

I do also research on x34p and z35p which are within my budget and the more expensive Alienware AW3420DW and LG34GK950-F. Headache. Any idea how much roughly the LG34GN850-B will be when available?
*
Older gen always drop price when new gen launch, to clear stock.
RTX3080 affordable will be wet dream inside dream biggrin.gif

I'm using x34, and it's fine for me.
Useful for multitasking, 2 browser or program side by side.

It also depends on what games you play. FPS, racing are just great. Certain RTS also nice, recently played Ashes Of Singularity, the UI occupied far left and right, giving you more viewing area in middle. Although the transition video are cropped and looks bad sweat.gif

I think monitor is the most headache item to purchase.
*
Just do research to find what you desire. Coz monitor are good purchase/investment, as it last for long time, unlike graphic card or PC components that minimum need refresh every few years.
I think I got my x34 for 4 years now, and I dont see any needs to upgrade for another 2-3 years ?

Hi, am an avid ultrawide user LG34UC79G rclxms.gif .

never regretted getting both ultrawide but a slight problem buying two of the same models, they have a slight different color calibration difference. one is a little more cooler than the other. tried to tweak it in the settings but it didn't work. Also finding a monitor arm to hold two monitors at once is really difficult to find. either it will sag or it's super flimsy.

Didn't notice that there's a thread for ultrawide and happy to be here  rclxm9.gif

Nice, rarely see dual ultrawide biggrin.gif
