I am afraid i might regret if getting X34P at 100Hz and AW3420DW at 120Hz. so it seems that LG 34GK950F is the only 144Hz. may i ask u all pro gamers which is really suitable for my game genre as i mostly play racing games and first person shooters. GPU on mind is Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 Super Triple Fan. I really want to get the monitor asap as i just went to Ikea to get my desk yesterday and will be delivered by today.

Any programmers here? Still thinking between lg and acer, would you choose 1090p + cutves or 1440p but flat? The games I played are auto chess, league and some emulations.

My pc parts are on the way. GPU is Zotac RTX 2080 Super Amp Core RGB. Now just hook up my Mac mini to check out the monitor. Once u try ultrawide there is no turning back like all bro here mentioned. Hehe.

Hi, some advice for below 4K UHD monitor purchase as currently in dilemma due to each of them do have some missing features....hahaha

It seem like only Samsung come with both PIP and PBP while Viewsonic do have PIP only whereas all others model miss out this wish to have feature.

Anyone know why Samsung 4K UHD monitor missing the HDR capability which kind of common or basic feature for others brand?  Is this miss out did impacted much on display quality especially gaming and video playback?

Eye Care sound like massive hard sell by Benq and Viewsonic but is this low bluelight or eyecare only marketing gimmick or really did served the purpose?

LG 27UL850-W and Dell Ultrasharp U2720Q do provide USB-C PD 60/90W charging for laptop or mobile devices and Dell never come with any freesync.

Most above list come with thin bezel except Benq or Viewsonic which kind of >1cm, prefer thin but not so bad  for 1cm+ model.

My usage as usual laptop extended display for work, own 4K laptop connection for video watching and ensure good freesync for upcoming new console even HDMI 2.1 4k@ 120hz sound like never provide by all above list yet but at least freesync with 4K capability.

maybe diff ppl different reaction towards ultrawide. somehow i am very prone to dizziness on fps games lately.

in this case, may as well stick back to my 27''.

btw what is the distance between you and the monitor during gaming?

About an arm's length. I do get dizziness in FPS, but not all. In fact, probably just 2 that I can think of. Soldier of fortune, and Half Life.

My desk depth is only 60cm, im worried that would be too close for 34" monitor.
After placing the monitor, i would have quite limited space for my keyboard

I think boil down to the games people play, and their budget, and understanding of what's really available in the market right now to get their preferred monitor. If I'm bangsawan I'll definitely swap the Acer with the new Samsung C9 32:9 LOL
I recently got an ICC profile from TFTCentral for my X34A and run the settings from there and I like the colour. It'll be better if I have a colorimeter.

Hi all, planning to upgrade to an ultrawide. need some recomendations 
monitor requirements:
- great color accuracy
- 144hz
- min 34 inch
- 3440x1440
- g-sync?(is it worth it to get a g-sync for ultrawides?) have never tried g-sync monitors before this nor g-sync compatible but heard that g-sync > g-sync compatible
budget around 4-5k.

I don't think there is 3440x1440 + 144Hz + Gsync + IPS monitor.

Yeah, 100-144 is little difference, same for 120-160.
I think can see difference for 100/120-180 but need a very capable GPU too. I can only do 60 with my 1080Ti hahaha

Top up 1.5k go straight for the 3070. 
2070 is still slow for 1440p 100hz. 

guys, im currently using 1070ti on 34 inch FHD monitor. Feel like gaming wise, im okay with the quality alongside the FPS (60 is acceptable to me). However, i feel like anything other than gaming, FHD is abit on the low side of picture sharpness.

So, if i were to upgrade to 2k monitor, general browsing and movies, will be a better experience without doubt. However, im worried on the gaming performance. Its either i can lower the setting or i can play in a non native resolution right? anyone in this similar situation mind to share abit on your experience? is playing 1080p on 2k monitor really that bad? i have seen people saying its really bad some say its acceptable. I know its up to personal preference but is bad really that bad?
