This is really cheap even with the shipping price, with 6% gst the most add another rm150.
Sifu-sifu, is there something wrong? Why is people not buying from amazon?
Malaysia ultrawide cheapest is 3.8k - 4k ..
*
This is not curve, and not 3440x1440 resolution, nor do it have G-sync. Those 3.8-4K you mentioned are curved, 1440P and with G-sync.

Not saying this is not good, for the price it's really good consider it has freesync.

EDIT: Correction, 3.8K most probably are Z35 that are curved and g-sync but 1080P.

Already 3 weeks since I ordered X34 and it's not even send. Bought from Lazada, not sure it Lazada sucks or Acer sucks big time.
One week after I ordered, Lazada called me claimed it's pre-order and I straight away shot them back for lying. Lazada/Acer update the title for the item to include ( pre-order ETA 25th July ) doh.gif massive speechless. If no stock, stop allowing user to order then bangwall.gif , dont la call later and give reason puke.gif

Was the price significantly lower than RM4.2k? If not, you would have been better off just going to Lowyat shops and COD for immediate gratification
*
Regret not doing that. Price around 4274.50 with shipping, I got RM4299 quoted from Czone LY. I go with Lazada because no CC surcharge, collect CC points and shopback cashback ( RM16X ).
I didnt cancel the order because afraid the refund thing will be messy, since it involve 4K+.

Now I fed up already, and focus on getting new casing this week.

Well that sucks.. I've heard similar story as yours before from my colleague. After escalate here and there, end up he still have to wait for few weeks before he received the monitor. I guess they nvr learn..
*
Screw Acer/Lazada, called them yesterday and still no update, straight away cancelled my order.

Either look around for shop with ready stock, or hold for now vmad.gif

You could try Topmaid at Lowyat. Saw on their FB page previously, they regularly re-stock.
*
Checking with them this morning, waiting reply. Last Fri went there to buy casing, then saw they have X34 on display. They even have the X34A, but I didnt ask if they have ready stock.

X34A! The only diff is the stand, whereby the X34A stand can now swivel whereas the X34 could not. Go for the X34A!!
*
Most likely get that, stand still massively huge, but at least it can swivel now.
Asked around few shop that might have, all dont have ready stock except TopMaid, hopes no one see this post and go there before me biggrin.gif

Yesterday go TopMaid and grab this babe wub.gif

Box tall as hell, also huge and heavy. I got few bruise over fingers as I was stubborn enough to carry the box myself from car to home, should have call my brother to help.

Hahaha, definitely no. I dont like the idea of 2 card but not 200% performance biggrin.gif
I havent test gaming performance hit from FHD to UWQHD but I think with higher resolution, no need AA now.

You sure arrrrrrr you definitely not going?  brows.gif  brows.gif

I have 28" UHD monitor. Some games I play (BF4, GTA-V, Far Cry 4, Project Cars) supports running it at 3440 x 1440 (black bars top and bottom of screen - equivalent to 26" Ultra Wide QHD), but even with single GTX 1080, I have to dial down some of the setting to get 60 fps. That's why lah I decided to go SLI yesterday.

Yeah, higher res means need to apply less AA or no AA, depending on game. But I can tell you, some games like GTA-V, there are certain graphic elements that still need AA even when I run it 4K.

You now have UWQHD, can go 100 Hz some more. Trust me, the upgrade poison will slowly get into your mind. GTX Titan Pascal perhaps?  devil.gif

Noooooooo cry.gif

Pretty sure I cant invest more money into my rig. If got spare cash also will upgrade CPU/mobo/RAM combo first biggrin.gif
Guess I have to tuned down graphic setting for now, or see how bad it will look with 2560x1080 on 34" monitor sweat.gif

Havent test game yet but DAMN viewing 2 browser tab side by side is awesome, although now youtube video become damn small tongue.gif

Yikes! 74 cm table still not sufficient to cater for X34? Like this, my 70 cm depth table chialat.

Anyway, bear in mind the weight of the X34 without stand, is 9.9kg. You will need an arm that can support that. Generally, the arms come in either desk-mounted or wall-mounted. For the former, it can be a clamp or grommet type.

The Ergotron MX or LX to me, are the best options but mind you, these costs and may not be available locally. There are however, other alternatives. Try contacting the sellers with postings in garage sale, here and here.
*
The display itself at middle of that depth ( push furthest inside already ), so in usual gaming/typing position, it's too close to be comfortable. The base/feet itself are like 3 point type, so I cant push the base even inside without tipping it off bangwall.gif

I read in reddit, one guy actually mod his table ( same IKEA table with mine ) with a small metal stand behind to accommodate back feet.

Well.. There's a 60Hz Curved WQHD 3440x1440 FreeSync monitor for RM3100
Wasabimango 340UC

No Gsync or 100Hz like Asus PG348Q but it's half the price of the Asus one.
*
It's good price for the spec.

QUOTE(richard912 @ Aug 2 2016, 03:35 PM)
Honestly, I would top up RM1k and get an Acer X34 instead
*
After using X34, I do honestly think the extra money for 100Hz frequency and G-sync h/w are worth it.

guys - I need advise here. can't make a decision between a Dell U3415W or an Acer X34.. any thoughts?

I will mostly:
- watch shows
- dota2
*
What's the price you can get for U3415W ?
Last time I was quoted over 4K for U3415W, not in any universe I would pay that much money for it, given that X34 is just 200-300 ringgit more ( with 100Hz and G-sync )

so about RM600 difference in price. Not sure worth it or not, depend on you biggrin.gif
BTW, DOTA2 on ultrawide is not impressive IMO, UI not fit properly, and character's shader looks ugly close up, so I end up playing Dota2 in windowed mode @ 1080P sweat.gif

thanks - so poisonous! i'm seriously reconsidering now XD - by the way, is an rx460 powerful enough to power the x34?

in b4 - i know my card choice does not support G-Sync
*
Really depends on games. Dota2 should be no problem at all.
A really simple/dumb formula:
FHD = 2MP
UWQHD = 5MP
