I too got back my X34A, sent there due to single dead pixel, took 2 weeks plus. No complaint from me.

I would trade off the extra 20hz to IPS panel any time.  cool2.gif

Is there such a big difference with VA and IPS?
Then there's IPS glow too...
If the Z35P is the same price as X34A, comes down to do you use it for mainly gaming or not.

IPS with better color accuracy benefited with all the game you play and its is brighter. In contrast the extra 20hz is hardly tell the different tbh if you are comparing 100hz vs 120hz. try to check online how much different between both panel side by side. with 1440p display you are better off with better color accuracy panel.

i love the color from the IPS too, but they are some people who couldn't take the IPS glow and the lower contrast, changed from IPS to the Dell TN panel with Gsync.

With 21:9 ratio, IPS glow don't really bother me. The IPS glow won't bleed til the centre of the monitor. With 16:9, IPS glow almost took all of the screen (XB271HU). Saw it on Youtube though. That is why I decided to go for Ultrawide instead of standard 16:9 ratio.

And I do prefer the colour on IPS more than TN. TN has a really dull colour.

There's Acer version, so will be cheaper ( still premium product ). Just like Predator X34 and Asus PG34 are sibling but with different QC.

I'm sure Acer will be following up with something similar and yes, Acer is usually priced lower than ASUS. Hope the trend continues

I'll take the cheaper one if it differs by a huge margin. Same panel is what matters however still have to wait for the final RRP. Can foresee some people will try to offload their X34A in Garage Sales then. tongue.gif

If not mistaken the 27" 4K monitor was shown in Linus preview before this, I forgot which brand Acer Or Asus. But the RRP mention that time was around 2k USD, damn.

No point of getting the new monitor as my PC can't hit 100fps except in CS.

It's will also cost alot! Maybe at RM7K.

I'll stick to my X34A tongue.gif
