Hi,

Zenfone 2 4gb ram comes with intel z3570 2.3ghz cpu..

In term of gaming, the cpu comes with PowerVR G6430 (same GPU as found in apple A7 of iphone 5s, probably only different in clock speed).. I bet that this gpu will perform as good as Adreno 330 in snapdragon 800/801 phones.. So gaming should be no problem..

Camera?
Hmm this one is a bit difficult.. Most reviews tht I read/watched mentioned tht the camera is decent not best..

Fast internet?
This phone got LTE

Memory?
U got 32gb and 64gb options..

No lag?
There will be lag of course this is android, but at minimum level.. There are so many factors to consider when we talk about lag, but I will say this phone will perform very well.. And the lag should come once in a while.. After all this phone use Asus custom UI..

Battery life?
Decent.. Not going to achieve the good endurance of z2 or one plus one la.. But should be good enough..

Temperature?
check utube video, i forgot this one..

1. Brand : Don't really mind, would even consider china brand if needed
2. Budget. rm500-700
3. Specs. somewhere around 1.5-2 GHz, don't really mind the camera, preferably 5"
4. What you need in the phone : Processing power is my main priority, and the build quality as well, wondering if there's something premium-ish like the mi4 somewhere in the market

I'd prefer mi3 because of the processing power though, plus not really into the plasticy design blush.gif

anyway, are those phones on taobao really a safe option?

Yea. Mi3 is still a gud buy if u can find a new one. Its snapdragon 800 processor is gud and stable.

Never bought phones from taobao b4, so cant comment much. Better check the seller's customer review b4 buying. nod.gif

Maybe u can look for mi3 in garage sales. brows.gif

Brand: Any brand except those with the Chinese UI, e.g. Xiaomi, Honor/Huawei.
Price: Up to RM1500 or less
What I'm looking for: Phone with similar specs and size to the Xperia Z3 Compact; the screen must be below 5"

Looking around, I can't seem to really find any other phone that can match the Z3C itself sweat.gif

Hello everyone. I need a suggestion for a new Android phone. Currently using Xperia V. It's still functioning but starting to show signs of lagging. I bought it because I never liked big screen phones, but now I'm thinking my phone is too small. It is still a good phone for me and very durable and strong. Fell many times often on hard surface but thankfully still working. So here are my preferences:

1. Brand. : Any brand will do. But I'm on my third consecutive Sony so I am quite loyal to them. Interested with HTC/Oppo as well. Samsung not so much.
2. Budget: MAX RM1.5K
3. Specs:
Screen: 4.4'' to 5''. No more than 5 inch. Too big for me.
Android: One which updates Android frequently. My experience with Sony is their updates with Android are very slow if they update at all.
Camera: Front-2MP> Rear 8MP>, OIS
Storage: 2GB RAM, MicroSD

4. What you need in the phone: Durability. My Sony is amazing. No screen protector, fell face down on tarmac road still functioning. I am clumsy so durability is a big plus. Other than that, good battery life, good quality camera, fast processor because I don't like lagging.

Hi, just want to suggest One Plus One 16gb...
It will cost u less than 1.1k after GST (from directd, AP set)...
Only a slight topup from your budget and u get a very powerful phone..

Other suggestions for less 1000;
- Zenfone 2 2gb ram 1.8ghz quadcore
- Xiaomi mi4i (got heat issue when gaming for now, dunno if there will be update to fix it)
-Xiaomi mi3 (if u can find a new one, but no 4G LTE)

If u dont mind secondhand phones less 1000 (usually);
- galaxy s4 LTE version
- galaxy s5
- xperia Z2
- LG G2
- Nexus 5 (not so good battery life and camera but super smooth OS)
- galaxy Note 3 LTE (phablet 5.7in)
- HTC one E8

All of these phones are top specs phone, except Xiaomi mi4i which is midrange, but i think still powerful enough (opinion)..

Xperia Z3 compact, if not mistaken the AP set is less than RM1.5k..but it doesnt has OIS camera.. Sony phone still got no OIS camera till today (correct me if am wrong)..

Nexus 5: update very fast and frequently.. But no MicroSD card.. Camera, even got OIS is decent only.. Battery life is also not so good..

Galaxy S5: 5.1inch.. A bit bigger than ur preference.. But very powerful camera even no OIS, very good battery life and got microSD slot.. However the Touchwiz OS could be good and not good to u and also slow update.. Price is a bit higher than 1.5k (ori set), AP set maybe below 1.5k..

LG G3 32GB: meet all your requirements except 5.5in and not fast update (lately very fast but who knows in future?)..battery life is decent only.. 5.5in of G3 is very compact, u will feel like holding 5in phone..

Brand: Any would do but prefer much famous brands as they have much more dev support

Price: rm500-800 & rm1000-1300. really conflicted here.my xperia ZL just died. Was planning to change phone to whatever flagship that comes out next year but now seems have to change plan. So Im torn between buying a 'cheap' and 'decent' phone. Wanna hear your suggestions on this one.

Spec: ~5inch screen, decent camera, decent battery. I like flashing custom ROMS but only because the OEM was to slow/lazy to update the software (sony and samsung.. dry.gif ). So if the model is known to get good software support then Ok enough for me.

I think the most obvious choice here would be 1+1, but I would really appreciate it if you guys can give other suggestions. Want to explore my choices. If got flagship phone coming out end of this year-early next year worth waitng for, then I think I'll just buy any cheap phone for the time being.

Thank you!

Just trying my luck, kinda bored with big 5" phones. Don't really wanna spend a lot for the Z3 Compact --guess I'll wait to see if the Z4 Compact rumors are real smile.gif
