Currently have a broken one plus (cracked screen) and the bottom half wont respond to touch.

i was thinking of

i.Fixing the screen (costs 400)

ii.Sell it off and buy a new one plus

iii.Selling it and buy a completely new phone (rm500 phone + rm400 added)

iv. Just buying a rm400 phone because all i use the one plus for is whatsapp and facebook messenger. other than that i use spotify every day religiously but i don't think it uses up much battery and i think sound on smartphones are generally the same (i use a pair of good iems). occasionally i stream movies in HD but i wont care because i can use my PC for that. its just a convenience thing so i can watch it on the sofa/bed instead of my shitty office chair. but really. i dont mind

Guys, which phone more bang for buck?

Looking at Honor 6 since price drop to 899.

Or Mi4i, Meizu mx4 or Honor 4x?

Is Honor 6 dual sim and how do these phones perform in terms of GPS?

tired of my free phone

Need a good camera performer, preferably with OIS.
If 16GB storage then SD slot is a must, 32GB up no need sd already
OTG is a must
Dual sim preferably

budget within 1.8K
am thinking LG G3 dual, any other suggestion?

Well, if ur still into oneplus, can get a new one at RM999 from directd's lelong page. brows.gif

Price drop I think bcoz oneplus two might be coming out soon.

Or u can go for Honor 6? Cheapest 3gb RAM for now. brows.gif

OnePlus One, Mi4, LG G3, Honor 6 Plus.

Personally I'll go for LG G3. Camera with OIS, thin bezel, qHD display.

Honor 6 if original Malaysia set only single sim, but u can get Honor 6 dual sim set which is original import set from sellers like DirectD. Of coz warranty can only be claimed from the shop that u purchase.

Kirin chipsets (Honor) is quite good in GPS detection based on what I've been reading in Honor 6 thread. Phones powered by Snapdragon processor also have good GPS detection and stable too. Just avoid Intel or Mediatek phones as they take more time for GPS to lock in. Maybe around 8-10 seconds, which is too long imho.

Can consider Honor 6 Plus (dual 8mp camera, bokeh effect), Huawei P8 (pre-order, camera with OIS), Xperia Z3 dual, S5 duos (only 2gb RAM).

Honor 6 plus and P8 got local warranty support. S5 Duos, Z3 dual and G3 dual only import set, meaning warranty is by the shop that u purchase from.

Or, u can go for the best, LG G4 dual. But damn costly, 2.4k+ sweat.gif

Btw, I'm also looking for a flagship dual sim phone. Not much in market. Even if got also import set. sweat.gif

Asked at Huawei shop, they quote me honor 6 plus RM1595-1695
can't remember exactly, lost interest when i heard its so much more expensive than buying online.

And that leads to:
How is Huawei support service in Malaysia? Is P8 worth the wait? RGBW camera, but the battery... sweat.gif

fed up with Sony, previously using 2 generation of Xperia

the only samsung i had is galaxy nexus, still working but the screen already greenish. S5 duos seem okay, camera slower than G3 though.

Why LG Malaysia didn't carry so many phones to local!?!? mad.gif

Actually am kind of skeptical buying import set phones even I never encounter any phone failed me on the first year. (chicken whistling.gif )

BTW, i do some research and found out both Meizu mx pro and Mi4 seems nice. without OIS that is.

Yea. If u wan 6+, buy online better. Cheaper. vmall selling 1399. Next flash sales is 9 June.

P8 seems promising, but yea, the battery is a bit low, not even 3000mah. Android Authority's review on the battery life just so-so only.

Camera without OIS is ok, if u have firm hand when snaping photo. icon_idea.gif

Just go for G3 dual ba. brows.gif

Thanks!

How does honour 6 compare to one plus one? I heard better things from opo, but does the price reduction make honour 6 a better deal?

And I read a review that says honor 6 doesn't come with corning gorilla glass? Is it true?

Between Huawei Honor 6 and OnePlus One personally I'd go for OnePlus One.

Loved the extremely active modding scene.

But if that's not your priority, both also good devices.

Actually opo also drop price dy. About 999 can get new set from DirectD. brows.gif

Not sure bout Honor 6's gorilla glass. Some review say it has Gorilla Glass 3, but in vmall website nothing mentioned bout it. So better to just install tempered glass sp onto it as soon as u buy it. nod.gif

Both Honor 6 and opo have it's pros and cons.

If ur a heavy flasher or modder, wants bigger screen, can opt for opo.

If ur just a casual user and u wan the external microsd slot, can save up the extra RM100 and go for Honor 6.

Well, even Nexus 6 could not last you 3-4 years in terms of software updates. In terms of hardware, yea, maybe an android phone can last u 3-4 years.

Any other specific requirements u are looking for so that we can give u better recommendation?

I can think of Meizu MX4, Sony Xperia Z2, and to a certain extent Meizu MX4 Pro if you can up your budget a bit more; if solely focusing on camera. But a better well-rounder would be LG G3 and Huawei Honor 6 Plus.

budget how much bro?

if you want to last 3-4 years, get the flagship with hexa-core or octa-core, 3GB or 4GB RAM, 16MP or 20MP camera and so on. but price would be expensive.

Hi, may i know what are the criterias that made u choose Galaxy A7?
Is it because of the slimness and metal design? Because of dual sim/sd slot? Because it is samsung?
I can suggest only when i know what are your priorities..

coz now im using s2 and i stop to keep update with phone new technology / release

not due to dual sim

Sensei Agreed this... but if u said for those China phones with software and firmware stablilty, i vouch to Huawei even is slow but they are freakingly stable smile.gif coz since mi Inc. are famously on bang buck budget and baffling to compromise those <insert firmware versions> till the end, gives bullshits Firmware bugs for MIUI 6 or eqv.as well and i dun see any China Phone maker can did this well

So, you're saying that Huawei's firmware is quite reliable? Better than that of miui? Cause i'm having a pretty good time with my xiaomi now. Had a redmi and used redmi note awhile then went back to redmi 2. Now i want an upgrade, like mi4i. But i see honor 6 seems like a better deal than mi4i.

Im not to picky on getting the latest updates in firmware, as long as it can perform smooothly. I only use my phone for basic games, gps and occasional insta-worthy photos.
