No I dont need it for the next 5-10 years.

How about the below too?  This was cash investment (not via EPF)
*
If I am not mistaken, s'pore mkt is currently the 2nd top Asian mkt ytd ranking..
Do you foresee it still has more gas mileage to go at the current stage of covid19?
Do you need to touch that cash?
If the 70% profits made your s'pore eq allocation too lopsided, or exceeded your planned % of allocation, then can move some off that fund to somewhere else

Not sure where to move it to - thats my problem.

List down your current portfolio
Compile and separate them into country/ region/sector specific.
See the % allocated into each of them
Then see if you liked the allocation.
Make changes when you deemed it to suit Yr likings better

Why compare to RHB?
RHB fund management bad luck this year.
They bet on the MEX highway  $1.3b Sukuk loan gone sour.
When we compare to the industry  average returns.
Public mutual still a big no..New birds please pay extra cautions.

For me, unit trust is the platform I go into incase my judgement is wrong in equities market.
Investing, not day trading. However it's a very fine line between investing and long term trading.
By investing in equities alone, you already take off the management fee.

but you posted this earlier...

Any cat that can catch rats is a good rat
If you spend rm5 on charges but get back rm50 in return is also considered as good investment

Is just that if you want to buy Conservative fund or reits fund than better avoid fund that charges high management fee

My friend asked me to find her Sales Agent since her agent very good in fund recommendation. Is this sort of like upline and downline?
*
i maybe wrong,...but i think it meant, your friend got a sales agent that had been very good in fund recommendation....and your friend wanted you to seek the service of that sales agent

If managed to get a breakdown by number of sectors, industries, countries, then if hv the % allocated into each of them then can judge more clearer

Should we invest in this new funds since the promo price quite cheap as 0.25 during promotion period ?
*
It is in NAV,... Thus this 0.25 is NOT cheaper rhan a similar fund that has NAV of 0.5

I just had a quick look at Global Select performance and portfolio which seems really good to me. Overall i don't mind the votality but would prefer to gain return at around 20% in medium term (3 years would be best but 5years is acceptable also) instead of long term.
*
hmm.gif "20% in 3 years or 20% in 5 years also acceptable" .... with just this "low" expectation of cagr for your investment with this fund .....
thumbup.gif should be able to achieve that with relative ease....if nothing really bad happens in the equities markets

ok i have login to the PMO website, see the following for the Global Select fund:

[attachmentid=10927459]

about the annualised return, does it means that if i park the same money into FD, the interest will be 7.18%?

just to understand this as a comparison

thanks in advance
*
when you invest in equity unit trust funds (like example Global Select fund)......there is no "confirmed" interest, profits, dividend or losses during your investment venture in that fund....
it is an investment,...investment will be subjected to many many risks, could be it short term, long terms, severely or mildly too

what you see, ARE past performances....as Past performance is not indicative of future performance. The value of the unit trusts and the income from them may fall as well as rise.

The spread can be up to 9 ringgit...
*
in terms of %?
count and compare in % easier to see...

i think, you are comparing directly with Gold price Versus Gold etfs....
not sure if those Gold etfs are directly correlated with direct Gold price....
does the Gold etfs that this P emas gold fund hold will have the same risk and reward ratio compared to direct gold investing thru bank's Gold investing a/c
unknown to what 5 etfs P emas gonna hold...
my wild guess will be these 5 Etfs will have lesser volatility...
