It's official. My battery is permanently damaged. Just now when I tried to open my AW17 it shows that the battery need to be replaced. My parts only warranty just expired last month. Where can I get a new battery for my machine (AW17R2)

Yeah taobao is a good place to look for replacement parts. Meanwhile just remove the faulty battery from the laptop and use it plugged in.

Thanks for the reply. What about the warranty? Can I claim the warranty if the battery died again? I used to buy keyboards from Taobao during the time when there were only limited supply of mechanical keyboard in Malaysia. Got the faulty one after a week of usage.

I wonder whether if I buy from Taobao, will they charge me the tax for the item.

No tax. As for warranty depends on the seller. I've bought a lot of stuff from taobao. 8 out of 10 items are good.

Hi guys, just got myself an alienware 15 yesterday. Am wondering any tips regarding the battery? Coz its not like can remove on the go like other laptop, just affraid prolong hour of playing with power adapter on will kill the battery fast

Tips is you always let is charge. Mean always plugged in power brick.
Don't believe other says to remove battery.
I will guarantee your battery wear level will still below 10% after 1 year.

another issue lol, anyone upgrade their alienware 15 to windows 10? coz after update, notice many stuff won't work, then after restart my alienware just stuck in a black screen, cannot boot into windows. Already disable secure boot still the same

hi guys. im interested in alienware 13. someone ways his battery rosak and he can never find a replacement. any advice, thoughts ?

if the battery is out of warranty, to get a replacement battery is as simple as to ask a quote from dell. i'm not sure why that guy couldn't find a replacement in this case.

Got my X51 R3 last April 2016, would like to check whether what the stock GeForce GTX 960 manufacturer/brand inside Dell providing?? Any chance to current rig to house the GTX 1070?? Some web show it possible, but the length of the card is 10.5'' while GTX960 only 9.5''.
