Hi Guys,

I need a pretty good laptop to run my financial softwares on my pc for heavy usage, thus was considering in getting an Alienware X14 gaming laptop. Never owned any dell products before and after googling up about reviews, i have come across of complains such as the laptop getting overheated, screening going blank (and Dell isn't honouring warranties).

What's everyone's personal take on this laptop ?

Is it reliable ?

Financial softwares as in what kind of software? CPU and RAM heavily usage?
All laptop have thermal capacity. Dell by default have its CPU thermal throttle set at 100'C, but I believe it's configurable in BIOS similar to other Alienware laptop.

for ur usage i suggest precision... can pm me for more info.. gaming laptop doesnt design for long hr usage... who can game 7 8hrs non stop everyday rite
