Anyone who have the PC-7 can clarify this with me. I just check out my casing yesterday and saw that the HDD tray have 2 screw on them. Is it possible to change the orientation of the HDD to make it face sideways if i wanted to change it?

QUOTE([KY] @ May 27 2007, 01:16 PM) Possible, I've seen it. The hdd tray is held by 2 screws and 2 rivets at the front. Basically the front of the hdd tray is not held by the 2 rivets but is clamped by a piece of aluminum which is riveted to the casings base. Yea, i realised that as well yesterday. I always thought the HDD tray is held up by the rivets at the front but when i look properly, it is clamped by the 2 aluminum piece. I though of switching the HDD tray to face the side just to have a better cable management i guess but when i look properly at the tray, if i really do it, the side will block the air from the front intake though which makes me kinda worried about the airflow later... |

Well, is the HDD tray available for sale seperately?I mean, there is LL model that have side HDD Tray right. Maybe i could get those and see but really do not want to spend too much though..I should check out the airflow first cause i am only using a single HDD and maybe the airflow is still ok..

Gosh, having problem with my PC-7 already. The metal part used to cover those front connectors are already getting loose. A slight bump and that thing will fall down..Any idea how to fix it?

QUOTE(E-J@1 @ May 30 2007, 12:21 AM) hahaha Well, i always take out the front panel to clean up the fan there at the first place. And for everytime i take it out, the door have to come out as well cause its attached to another piece of plastic at the bottom..I think that causes it to be loose though..maybe u can ask ATE bout that replacement, who knows? maybe they can help btw, how did it get looose? QUOTE(mADmAN @ May 30 2007, 12:44 AM) that thing holds on mainly by friction...my guess is u open/close so many times the thing worn off already...mebbe u could add some tape or something there to cover back the worn off area? worried about the same thing happening to mine oso...so i tend to just leave it open..but dust Yea, i do not want to leave it open because its very dusty in my room. In fact, my top FM82 intake is getting black nowadays after a week. Really need to find something and fix it.. |

Guys, just realise this when i was fixing the akasa mat to my casing..
I do think it is possible to mount a fan at the bottom of the HDD tray. Have anyone tested this personally before and will it bring any trouble to the airflow of the casing?Planning to mount a fan there... |

QUOTE(Doom @ Jun 2 2007, 10:30 PM) If comes to WC must got for V2000... it has large interior to fit all those rad, pump and reservoir.. Well, the bottom of the HDD tray already come with some holes and same goes to the casing itself. After that, i even notice that a 12cm fan fits nicely at the bottom of the cage which has holes for screws as well..Thats why i am thinking of trying to mount a fan there..@ akachester Seems like u need to cut according to layout of the case .... |
