Absolutely beautiful eh the casing..Love casing that have seperated compartment for PSU and mobo areas...

Anyway, since the side panel fan does not have holes at the back, how are it going to suck air in or blow air out? Not using?Wanna sell?LOL...

LOL..For me, all LL casing are nicely built. Whatever you get, its still a nice casing indeed. Full Alu casing at below RM300 price is very cheap indeed. Even until now, i am loving my PC-7B..

Wow..inform me when you see one ok. I just obtained one from uglyvamp, working great for now but wanted to get another when i get my hands on the side panel fan, maybe another week or two..

@sniper69,

I seriously do not know the concept behind the fan air flow for the Lian Li BS-02. Even after some explanation, i still doubt it is helpfuly in term of airflow. No holes at the back to suck or exhaust air at all..It seems like the fan is sucking air in and blowing it out at the same place..

i guess, the picture will tell us more... wink.gif

IC, thanks for the picture there. I really still doubt this fan will be working well, at least for me. Even with extra compartment space to allow air blown out, i think there will still be problem about air being blow out at the same space as well..LOL..

Anyway, i think i will look into BS03 for now...

LOL..Maybe I could look into a mod and cut a square hole at the back so it would work like a normal side panel fan..LOL..

I still love the design of the BS02 but the praticality on how it works really bothers me...Thats why i wanted to opt for the BS03. Will be getting them next month after i settle everything on my new home..LOL.

@mADmAN,

I saw that filter as well from uglyvamp and almost got it but decided for another type of mesh version from him because of the dead zone of the filter.

Does it block alot of airflow into the casing? My current one is also from uglyvamp and its easy for cleaning as well. Just wipe it and most of the dust would be gone. However, there is still a hassle of needing to open up the front panel first before cleaning it..

Besides, i dont like the spider filter at all. Priced at around RM40+ together with that weird fan, i rather spend more on a better fan and get an optional filter..

yeah...it does block out some airflow...but its still ok with me actually....

i need to use this kinda filter coz my room is friggin dusty...

n opening up the front panel aint that hard for me la....just pop it out only... no special tools required tongue.gif

LOL..Quite troublesome for me. Need to take out 4 screws everytime and not to mention, causing my USB front cover to be loose.. blink.gif

? You're using a PC7B according to your sig rite? Shouldn't your front panel also be a simple pull off affair?

As for my setup, I hate dust getting into my rig as well, so for both my 120mm intakes, I have one layer foam filter (the stock kind that comes with LL cases) and another layer of aluminum mesh filter from MNPCTech.com.

Will post pics later if I have time after I'm back from work. wink.gif
*
No. The one that came together with my PC7B is aluminum mesh type which needed to be bounded with the fan. Besides, the holes are too small, causing air suction to be real bad and not to mention, increasing noise level as well...Changed it to uglyvamp's one and its better..Still, i am searching for something easier but wont block too much airflow..

QUOTE(Doom @ Jun 20 2007, 06:58 PM)
hahah I have two of the filer and never use before .. I realized it's quite effective but also reduce airflow by quite a margin and increases the fan noise ...

Well, mine that came with the LL are almost these type but its small holes rather than the one like yours..

u mean this??

i suggest changing to this...u can unscrew just the filter part  for cleaning.

uglyvamp sells them filters quite nicely...and airflow is good too...im using 1 on my CPU HSF fan. reason im not using it in the front is because i wanted something VERY easy to remove and clean...hence the plastic filter in my previous post.
*
Yea, thats the one that comes with my LL.

And accidentally, thats the same filter i bought from uglyvamp as well in the second picture..LOL..

I do agree its performing very well for me at the moment. Does not generate too much noise and airflow is still acceptable. But i am still trying to look for something better in the same place...

Anyway, even though i could just remove the filters, they are still screwed to the frame. In the end, its still the same job of removing 4 screws. That is why i kinda interested with the plastic one you posted earlier but i am concerned about the airflow as well...

@sniper69,

Everytime i saw your GC in this casing, i felt really kesian..LOL..Like gonna break into parts anytime soon. Couldnt you change the direction of the HR03 to face upwards rather than downwards?

i can't, that BigTyphoon blocked the HR-03, that's why i'm urging to get HR-01 from lolhalol this weekend brows.gif...

LOL..You should. So kesian the GC..

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jun 21 2007, 12:26 PM)
heres an idea....get those plastic filters...and just use the frame...the foam put 1 side..

next, get a sieve (that tapis tepung thing) and cut out the mesh to size to fit in the frame and use it with the frame. ive been thinking of doing the same thing laugh.gif
*
Wow..That would work but doing it myself is abit hard..LOL..But the one from Gary are almost the same thing. Just less flexible..

i think you are right, this is because, when i slide the mobo tray out... (this is what i like about PC-A10S - it's slidable mobo tray, together with PCI slots bracket if you know what i mean), the GC still in that position (bend) even at horizontal position... icon_idea.gif

BTW, i noticed that my mobo's temp hotter than usual, as well my HDD, i thought the 120mm intake fan in front do the job, but i think it's too slow or too little cfm... any idea? tried installed Panaflow 120mm, but failed due to "thick" Panaflo, i think... better get "thinner" fan... any idea, thin good cfm 120mm?
*
LOL..Once i had got hold of my LL casing, i straight look for alternative to replace the original LL LED fan. They doesnt really perform for me. Now, they are already stored in duno which box already. Using Noctua fan, good cfm and airflow, silent but might not suit everybody's need. Cause it might not be as powerful as those crazy SS fans...Still the airflow is better than the original LL one..

I indeed love the slidable mobo tray. Wish i havent been such a rush to get this PC-7B last time and opt for the PC60 which has much much more features than this..Slideable mobo tray, side panel fan, air duct etc..Gosh...If i have the slidable mobo tray, changing stuff would have been very easy..

LOL..So tempted to take it to ATE and trade this thing for the PC-A10 IF they have the black color one..LOL..

LOL..At least it LOOKED like full tower...LOL..

I insist to get black color is because all my hardwares are in black. At least externally though...LOL..The promotion is on until when from ATE?My main target is still Soldam for now but its too expensive to own and even if it is cheap, its hard to get back from Japan...LL is easier to get..

@ikan_semilang,

I bought mine at ATE for RM35. Very nice one indeed. Makes the casing look so much better..

I normally clean the casing with cloth and water only. But you will need to really wipe hard for all the stain to be removed..
