My mi box s keep changing reso from 4k to 480p after update to android 9.. Please.. Anyone know how to fix it? π’π’

Hi everyone, my first post here and also a new user of Mi Box S. I'm not a tech-savvy and I got headache trying to understand some posts here, so I want to ask:
- what should I do now to watch latest free HK or China dramas and English cartoons (other than youtube)?
I only got to know that EVPad comes with pre-installed VOD which allows me to watch those I want for free and without needing me to do/install anything after I bought Mi Box S. So u see here, this is how IT idiot I am. Made such mistake even after I did homework comparing both TV boxes.
So, PLEASE, can someone guide me with a very layman instructions? Thanks in advance!!!

My sole purpose is watching YouTube.
Is Mi Box good for watching YouTube 4K contents? Any lag or drop out from its wifi connection while watching YouTube 4K contents?
If not then any other box good for YouTube 4K contents with LAN connection?
