Hey sifu, i just bought an International Version of MiBox 3s running Android 8.0 Oreo on last week. There already pre-install many free apps. I also plug in an external USB Pendrive as an internal usage and sideload some apps on the extra storage.

The mibox run quite smooth and well at the beginning although some app seems not working on the mibox. Unfortunately after few days of playing i started notice the mibox sometime is very lag or even totally freeze and not responding. This often happen especially when i first startup or open when in sleep mode. All i can do is switch off and rebooting the mibox and then the mibox back to normal again.

Anyone else facing the same problem like me ? any advise please ?

Don't install apps in external storage will solve your issue.

So you mean the source problem is coming from external apps loading ? Too bad, the internal storage only have 8gb space. so what can i do for the external storage ? anyway thank you for your reply

This is one of the few weaknesses of this box..8Gb nia

yalor only 8gb, now i am so frustrated because sometime it will lag and freeze on the home screen , mouse and remote control not working at all. i need to reboot everytime when come across this problem . do you have the same problem like me ?

nope, not using mibox, using others

I never face freeze last time when I use external storage but it is slow when startup. So I remove it. Yup 8 GB is way too small.
For greater performance if for Android TV, only Nvidia Shield.

Now I only use Mi Box when travelling back home town. Normal day I use Apple TV 4K and it is my main TV Box now.

Hi guys, I recently bough a mibox and having problem with netfix

My mibox will crash while playing 4k content after 20-30 mins.

How do I uninstall Netflix and install back again? From the app store I can only uninstall Netflix update

Android 8 Oreo for Mi Box had big issues during its initial OTA rollout. I face this issue also.
I believe we should all still be on the 2174 version.
Hoping the 2179 rolls out soon as it is said to fix/reduce the WiFi disconnection issue.

You need side load install it as it is not Android TV apps but Android apps.

Same bro, this mibox is getting old, cant handle 4k@60hz. I hope they release more powerful box soon or I'll have to spend on nvidia shield.
At 4k@60hz HDR on, always out of sync audio + random reboot (overheat?) and also laggy inside out. 1080P and below work fine without reboot or audio problem.
maybe I'm over exaggerating but it is not smooth for sure

Auto reboot? I never face this issue before.

Make sure it is latest version.
